I recently stayed at SLS Barcelona while attending a conference. The hotel itself is lovely – modern, stylish, and comfortable. The bar staff were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming, and the lady who checked us in was equally lovely. Our room was clean and nicely designed. That said, the location is not ideal if you want to explore the city. It worked well for my conference, but it is a bit far from most of the main attractions and central areas. There were also a few disappointments during our stay. We were meant to receive a complimentary bottle of wine, which never arrived. I contacted the hotel about it, and they replied saying they could not deliver it because our “Do Not Disturb” sign was on the door. I responded stating it had been removed and times we would be available, but never heard back. Additionally, the safe in our room had been locked by a previous guest and was unusable, and no one came to fix it despite raising the issue. At checkout, I mentioned the missing wine again. The staff checked to see if we had at least received the fruit that was meant to be included, which we had not. They apologised and offered my partner a takeaway coffee, which was appreciated, but overall there was no real attempt to make up for the missed amenities. A lovely hotel with kind staff, but the service follow-up needs improvement, and the location is just not the best for exploring the city.

I fell down and broke my right arm, and started to bleeding from my nose all because the hotel negligence. Hotel did not have immediate emergency medical attention or services and sent a security guard that doesn’t speak English and could not provide me with an immediate ambulance service to the hospital. Instead the security guard pulled me of the floor from the hand that is injured and caused more damage to my injuries. In addition, the hotel had problem with their electrical system in my room where the kitchen electrical system were not working for 3 consecutive days as well as the kitchen sink will not flow properly. To top all that the Air conditioning system was down for 7 hours and they allow guests with pets next to rooms without pets where I have allergies from dogs and the dog would not stop barking. I complained to the hotel management and the Duty Manager by name of Paola Temoche took no ownership and only offered to refund me 280 Euros after I paid $2700 for my stay and paid thousands of dollars to the hospital due to the hotel negligence. DO NOT EVER STAY AT THIS PROPERTY.

My experience at SLS Barcelona was truly exceptional from start to finish. The security, bell boys, reception, managing, F&B, and housekeeping staff all showcased unparalleled professionalism and warmth. Elio at the reception, along with his colleagues, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed right away. Lidia is a standout professional—her impressive people skills and personable approach made my stay even more memorable. Every detail was handled with care and expertise. I wholeheartedly recommend SLS Barcelona as the best hotel in the city. Though I am heading to Africa, the wonderful memories I created here will stay with me forever. My stay at Barcelona SLS was ruined by serious billing issues. Despite staff agreeing to refund charges for my pre-paid room on 20th September (with invoice evidence), they later denied this agreement completely. Curiously, my male colleague with an identical booking issue had his resolved immediately without question, while I've been forced to fight for my refund despite having documentation. Despite providing invoices and credit card statements proving my case, their response was dismissive. Attempting to charge twice for a pre-paid room during a large corporate event shows extremely poor business practices. I strongly advise travellers to document all payment interactions with this hotel and verify refunds have processed before departing - especially as reading some reviews on here it seems others have also had a stay of two halves. What began as a simple billing error revealed troubling customer service standards.

Brand spanking new hotel a lovely 10mins walk from the convention Centre. Great staff, excellent food at both their Catalan inspired casual dining and Lora for fine dining. Fantastic breakfasts too. Sophia at the Deluxe bar made the best Vespa Martini! Rooms super comfy, excellent ac and well appointed bathroom. Only thing to improve is to heat the pool! Keep up the good work!
