The hotel is very good and in the best location in Bath. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. It was good value for the quality of the room and spa.

Visited for afternoon tea. This is the 4th time I have visited, bringing friends as a gift each time. Unfortunately this visit fell massively short of previous ones. The food itself was ok, no better than teas I have had elsewhere. The service was terrible - no welcome on arrival, slow, wrong choices of tea provided, extra sandwiches bought when not asked for, incomprehensible food descriptions. When leaving after waiting for 10 minutes for our coats we had to walk into the cloakroom to retrieve them ourselves. Wouldn’t return again sadly.

We booked the overnight Spa experience which did not disappoint. Lovely Spa facilities and great treatments provided. The Royal Crescent Hotel is an amazing place, full of character at every turn. Bedrooms extremely comfortable, Breakfast was fantastic especially the Cinnamon poached pears and spice infused fruit. Everything freshly made. Can’t wait to return in January

We stayed with friends over New Years Eve. Arrival and Check In were friendly and efficient. Our rooms (Heritage) were modest for the price, fully equipped but on the small side, and the bathroom shower was over the bathtub, but the bed was large and super-comfortable. The hotel environment is a delight and immaculately kept; somehow staying in the architectural wonder of the crescent was a special experience. Breakfast was partially buffet style, which was average in choice (no smoked salmon!), plus a cooked to order menu which was comprehensive and our choices were delicious. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

Beautiful Hotel. We were on the Christmas Festive Package . Food was of excellent quality and very plentiful, supplemented with complimentary Tattinger Champagne and selected wines, tea, coffee etc. We have stayed in 5* hotels all over the world but the service and friendliness of the staff at The Royal Crescent was the best that we have experienced anywhere. We had a Heritage room which although quite small, was warm & comfortable with a lovely view of the gardens and beyond. Unfortunately there were a few things that disappointed, the first being the fact that there was no Nespresso coffee machine in the room, which is very unusual these days and is somewhat expected. Also, the bathroom was very small with no walk in shower. I realise that this is an old listed building but climbing into the bath in order to have a shower is not good for people of a certain age. As a consequence we mainly showered in the spa, which did have a walk in shower. Despite the above, we had a lovely enjoyable stay and although expensive it was well worth doing and we would recommend.
