The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa

We stayed midweek for one night in a Heritage room. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and given a very brief tour of the hotel. Valet parking was included which we used. Check in was not not until 3:30pm so we left our luggage and explored. We checked in just after 3:30pm and were given a pleasant room on the second floor overlooking the crescent. The room was clean and comfortable with a small ensuite bathroom. Tea and coffee was provided but no fridge or minibar. Breakfast was good but the coffee could be improved. The spa was nice but small. We enjoyed pre dinner cocktails in the large garden.

This is our favourite place to stay in Bath. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with nice touches like the fruit and box of chocolates. We especially appreciated the help with our luggage, both on check-in and check-out. Breakfasts were excellent. It was delightful to sit in the beautiful garden for evening cocktails. The Royal Crescent fulfilled our expectations on this short but much needed respite break.

Attentive door men, recently updated common rooms, beautiful garden, lovely jr. suite, but it was the welcoming service that made us feel at home. The door to our room had our names displayed on a small brass frame. The bathroom was huge. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. To get to the room, walk out the back of the hotel proper, cross a lovely garden heading toward the tea room dining area, but go in a separate door, head up carpeted steps and get to the very quiet and private suite. My wife and I smile everything we see the Royal Crescent in the detective series McDonald & Dodds. Very memorable.

Perfect in every way, so sad to leave. The staff were delightful and helpful. Very relaxing and the setting is magical. No faults from me except I can’t quite afford moving into the hotel!

We had a fabulous 2-night stay here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As soon as we arrived, we were impressed not only by the location and the welcome we received but by how luxurious but relaxed the whole hotel feels. Check in was so easy as our luggage and car were both taken care of immediately so we could start our holiday. Our room overlooked the lovely garden. It was well equipped and spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. The anniversary card and chocolates were a lovely touch. Nothing seemed too much trouble for any of the staff- Just what you want as a guest. The hotel has set the bar very high for others we visit in the future, and we will definitely be returning.
