Paradise in Mauritius!

I regularly dream of our wonderful stay here in a beach front villa - the outdoor pool area and relaxing vibe of the hotel is absolutely wonderful. If you can afford it, it is head and shoulders better than any “five star” all inclusive offering and is worth the expenditure. The breakfast was devine, as were all of our restaurant interactions. Taking the boat over to the island and eating lobster on the beach with a wonderful mojito was a real bucket list moment, too. Compared to other Four Seasons beach villas we’ve stayed in, these are less impressive but still very very enjoyable. The beach here is quite small, the water is shallow and the sand/rocks are quite sharp. The main shared pool has a lovely view and the staff are very attentive. Not a party hotel (suits us!) so don’t come here looking for late night action. We’ll be back.

Wonderful family holiday

We just returned from four days at FS Mauritius and I can highly recommend this resort. It offers an amazing variety of beaches, restaurants but also activities like water skiing or fitness classes. We loved the lap pool at the gym which is rare in hotels. We also did a meditation class and a silent morning walk, which were both incredible. The spa is an experience in itself. We will be back!

The plan was to stay at the Four Seasons for 10 days from April 4th to April 14th, but we were not so lucky. We made a mistake in choosing the resort because we searched for the name and did not read people’s opinions on this site or other sites. It was a disappointment for us, the worst resort you can waste your money on. I booked a three-bedroom villa for 10 days for 30,000 dollars. I expected that I chose the correct name, but unfortunately it is not like any Four Seasons, it is different. The furniture is old, the curtains in some of the rooms are torn, the beds are full of ants. There was a dead insect in the rooms when we arrived and it was not removed for two days, meaning they entered the villa to clean it two days in a row. They did not remove it from the floor, and this confirms to us that they did not clean the villa properly. The other thing is, in the first two days, the villa’s phone was not working, and I had to call room services through my mobile phone for an international call, and I asked them to fix the phone, but !!!! and there was also no hot water in The bathrooms and the water pressure are very weak, which forced us to call maintenance for the first two days to fix them. For your information, people travel to these islands to relax and not to deal with maintenance teams in hotels. In general, I booked at another resort (One&Only resort), and my family and I went there and really found the difference. Now I am in a luxury resort. I left it to the travel agency to return the remaining amount from the Four Seasons.
