Terrific place, immersion into the atmosphere of Summer palace. The best staff: extremely helpful and nice (arranged a breakfast box for us, as we were leaving very early; easily arranged a dinner on terrace; anticipated any wish). The best location: gives you direct access to the Summer palace, and ensures a calm and relaxing atmosphere in the evening (feeling that you are not even in the city, but jus surrounded by nature). Amazing facilities: restaurants are all delicious and provide great choice of meals. Great rooms: at the same time modern and traditional. Strongly recommend to stay in this magic place!

Just checked out from Aman Summer Palace few days ago and we have a pleasant experience there. We arrived early at the hotel, around 7am. Check in time is 3pm. My husband had fever and we needed a place to rest. The weather was cold and we sat at the lobby lounge to kill time. At that point, I overheard one of the staff, Ms Fiona asked her colleague if it is possible to get the room ready because the guest is tired. I was touched. At around 11+am, Ms Fiona approached us and informed us that the room is ready. We are very pleased with her attentiveness. My husband had a good rest and recovered well from the flu. It was a comfortable stay at this hotel. We were there for 3 days and for all these days we were attended with utmost warmth. I was impressed to see the prompt room service despite the peak season. Every need was catered with utmost perfection making us feel so important. Oh and if you ever visit this hotel during Autumn, please try the pear drink 小吊梨汤 served by the hotel. It is amazing and I could not find the same taste elsewhere in Beijing. The staff, Ms Fiona informed us that the pear drink is freshly prepared daily for the guests during Autumn season. I will go back to this hotel again just for this drink! Once again, thank you Ms Fiona and the wonderful team for the impressive service. We will definitely visit Aman Summer Palace again with our kid next time.

The hotel is part of the old Summer Palace. A truly unique location which breathes history. The rooms are nice and spacious. However, the service was not Aman level. Very few English speaking staff not understanding the most basic questions. Restaurants mediocre.

We had an amazing excellent experience at this Aman. Room, food, facilities, architecture, excursions, small things, small details and services. Everything is outstanding and unforgettable. We would like to thanks to Jessica, she is very nice. And her colleagues are helpful to us, ooh we love souvenir shop. We would be back to Aman Summer Palace when visiting Beijing in the future
