Just finished a 2 night stay here - I can now understand why this hotel is so positively reviewed. Staff are genuinely helpful, patient and solutions oriented. They are clearly empowered to help customers make the most of my stay, My room initially had an issue with heat - with the room not being able to be cooled down. The front desk team was incredibly patient and courteous in helping to find a solution to this. What I really loved about this hotel is its food and beverage offering. Their restaurant...its atmosphere and cooking, transports you to an upscale brasserie in the middle the Marais. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant both nights - everything I tried was fantastic - unpretentious, authentic and full of flavour. The menu is also quite extensive, so it'd be difficult to get bored with the choices during a long stay. Was so impressed by the hotel that I've just booked another stay in a few days' time. One warning though - their deluxe room design may not be to everyone's taste. The closet, toilet and shower/sink are located each in their own enclosed spaces, on opposite ends of the room. For me at least, this wasn't very functional. May want to consider another room type if this is not for you.

We have been living in Sanlitun for a few months now and went to Chao three times. Each visit was a truly memorable experience, blending luxury, taste, and refinement in a nice and elegant decor. We would particularly like to highlight the service of Benjamin the bartender at the Living room's cocktail bar. He made the best Vesper Martini we ever had and proved great mastery of mixology combined with a high degree of professionalism and amability. The cuisine also has a very nice selection of French dishes, including a truly excellent steak tartare prepared in front of you like in Paris (it really tasted like home) and the waiters are very nice and professional as well. We will definitely be back at Chao in the coming weeks !

Each stay was a delight. I enjoyed the fantastic, highly attentive service. Furnishings combine tasteful trendy design with casual comfort. The staff is magnificent and truly charming. Instead of a mile-long breakfast buffet, you'll find a combination of a superb compact and perspicuous buffet setup with a great selection of freshly prepared dishes to order, which covers several breakfast cultures. The bar with delightful life music lets you finish the day as pleasantly as it started. CHAO's location in Sanlitun provides you with an abundance of restaurants, clubs and shopping centers, many of them in walking distance. Book this hotel if you are expecting a joyful stay in Beijing. You will soak in CHAO's atmosphere and maybe contribute to it. If--by the nature of your work, personality or life--you are expecting a hectic, stressful, strenuous stay, please book another hotel.

We stayed at Chaos hotel for 3 nights, we had a very pleasant stay. Every thing was just perfect. The room was spacious and the breakfast was really good. The hotel team are so friendly and always helpful very professional helping you with a smile on their face specially Jessica and Timothy. Location is perfect I really recommend Chaos Hotel.

Second time in within two that I booked CHAO. What an amazing experience! Quaint hotel, the arrival experience with this warm rough wooden floor, small front desk with engaging staff, then you go up the elevator and your journey starts. The room (got the same room twice) was just the right size, small wet area with complimentary honor bar, some snacks, a Nespresso machine and two selections of tea. Then a living room with low couches, leather chair, big screen... a perfect place to unwind, have a glass of wine and watch a movie. The TV Screen can mirror any of your computer, phone or tablets (bluetooth). The bed is very comfortable and the curtains can get your room totally dark. Nice appointed bathroom with everything you need. The breakfast is to die for, very casual ambiance with a very tasteful selection of items as well as a very well thought menu (Western, Chinese, and other). The restaurant and the bar are something you should not miss, not only the cocktails are crafted to perfection, but the food is so tasty and nicely presented. The hotel is class but with a great casualiness to it. Try it you will not be disappointed....even you may be addicted.
