Fairmont Beijing

We stayed 5 nights. First room we could hear someone using a drill! After 2 hours we asked to move rooms. 2nd room was peaceful! Lovely large room but the furniture was a bit worn and despite turning down the heating (and then turning it off) it remained at 26 degrees! Had to replace the key card 3 times as it didn't work. Didn't find anywhere interesting to walk to at night as the hotel is in the financial area. Breakfast was the best of our trip, so much choice! Not a bad hotel but not the 5*we expected and would chose somewhere with more night time entertainment next time

I had an exceptional stay at Fairmont Beijing, and a huge shoutout to Reese at the front desk! From the moment I arrived, Reese greeted me with a warm smile and handled my check-in swiftly and professionally. She patiently answered all my questions about hotel facilities and local attractions, and even thoughtfully helped with a last-minute request. Her attentive, friendly service made me feel truly welcome and at home. Fairmont Beijing’s service is truly top-tier, and Reese is a shining example of your excellent team. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return!

Stayed here for 6 nights with my mom and had a really great experience. Im a platinum member, so I was very happy to get upgraded to a suite. What was even nicer was that my mom, who is not a Platinum member, also got the same upgraded room. That already made the stay feel generous and memorable. What I will remember most, though, is how the staff treated us when my mom lost her passport on her last night in Beijing. She had to stay for 5 more nights. It was a stressful situation, but the staff were AMAZING. They helped us call the police, guided us patiently, and supported my mom through the process of getting a temporary passport until she checked out. Their help meant a lot to us. I would like to give a very special thanks to the reception staff, bellhop, doorman, housekeeping, and everyone involved. I’m sorry I didn’t catch all your names, but your kindness and professionalism made a huge difference. I would absolutely stay here again next time I visit Beijing.

The hotel was in quite poor condition. There was mold on the walls, peeling wallpaper, and malfunctioning electrical devices—from room switches to hair dryers. The shower water did not flow properly. Overall, the property is in urgent need of a major renovation. This experience made me start to question the standards of this highly regarded brand. From Fairmont Lake Louise to Singapore, and now this property, they all seem like aging hotels long past their golden era. The lobby was underwhelming, lacking even basic amenities such as a proper bar. Accor’s “welcome drink” was simply a staff member handing out cans of soda, which felt very unprofessional. Breakfast was disappointing. The menu was nearly identical across all five nights, with low-quality food. The only juice available was canned orange juice, and the selection was limited to just one or two pork-based cold cuts. The breakfast staff were inattentive and did not maintain proper cleanliness standards. Tables were not properly cleaned before seating new guests, and the dishware was visibly dirty, as shown in the attached photos. The coffee mug provided was unclean and placed out ready for use. This is far below what one would expect from a five-star hotel.
