Reviews for The Peninsula Beijing

Hospitality at its finest!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The above and beyond attitude runs deep in the staff’s approach to its guests. Specifically, Polina from Front Desk, made the experience even better. She listened to us with the intention to understand our needs and not to just reply. Management and leadership were eager to listen and help as well. Again, the above and beyond attitude runs deep!

A very excellent way to start our Beijing tour.

We found this hotel extremely friendly. Rooms are large, they upgraded us to a higher bigger suite. Breakfast was fantastic. Every cuisine you can think of. But the best was the service. Big thanks to Elaine who took personal care of us. Everybody really pay attention to details, they know who you are and what you like. We also used the swimming pool in the morning which was a big bonus for us. We spent wonderful 5 days in the hotel.

One of best of the best

I have nothing negative to say about the Peninsula. Every detail is thought of in the enormous rooms. 60sqm. CRAZY BIG. Huge luxury bathrooms and everything in working order. Breakfasts are very good, the staff are professional and attentive, but what we used more than anything else were the concierges. They were phenomenal in hailing taxis, advising where to go and shop and their recommendation of “1949 Duck de Chine” restaurant made my Beijing trip. If I were to nitpick I’d say the check-in desk is too small and badly located, and maybe the dvd system is a tad outdated. I did order a dvd, but they called me 10mins later to confirm it, but I didn’t want to be hassled with the doorbell so I left it. Anyway I would have LOVED TO TRY THE MICHELIN RESTAURANT, I just ran out of time. Exquisite hotel and I really appreciated their treatment of us tourists🤣

Amazing stay

We were upgraded to the Beijing suite and it was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The staff was very kind and cordial, and thought of every little detail in the room. We felt very well taken care of. The water pressure in the shower was also fantastic which felt amazing after a long day of travel. Special thanks to Auston and Amber for helping us during our stay!

Lovely rooms but tech a bit outdated and need more loungers in the pool

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The rooms are very generous and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Sometimes the whole electronic light control is very frustrating to get right though and it was unhelpful that we could not cast our Apple TV music into the room system which seems very outdated. The spa massage was lovely but the pool itself was very small with only 4 loungers which meant if there were more than one family realistically it was not relaxing as you just had to sit upright on a chair.
