Named for famed 19th century naturalist, Charles Telfair, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Mauritius embodies beauty and elegance while celebrating its natural, unspoiled backdrop adrift in the Indian Ocean. Stretched across 15 acres atop the sandy shores of Bel Ombre Beach, Heritage Le Telfair's intimate village design includes 20 villas, each with 6-8 rooms that enjoy breathtaking beach views, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that permit abundant natural light to flow into the expansive living quarters. With design inspired by the French Colonial period on the island, rooms are outfitted with dark wood, over sized four-poster beds, lavish drapery and textiles, and a soft palette of light blue, green, and brown hues. En-suite bathrooms include claw-foot tubs in suites, walk-in showers, spacious dressing facilities, and plush bathrobes. At Heritage Le Telfair the smallest details are handled with the greatest care, because your comfort, pleasure, and experience are top priority.

We were treated very well by Curtis he was extremely professional and most generous throughout our stay.we would also like to commend Pricilla at the beach her attention was superb .also our room maid Marie Anne who did a wonderful job in our room Noor was was most discrete and was on call daily . Also Madam France did all she could to make our holiday an enjoyable stay.

We had a fabulous stay at the Heritage from the moment that we arrived through to the departure day. A warm and caring welcome continued to be the theme throughout our residence with amazing food at each of the restaurants and an astonishing array of wines. There were times when the restaurant staff were 'relaxed' with their service but with some patience from our side, it did not impact our enjoyment of the wonderful hotel and facilities. The golf course was challenging but always enticed one back for another round! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this sumptuous and relaxing retreat. Our only suggestions to the hotel would be; 1. Some additional training for waiting staff to enhance organisational abilities 2. An adults-only pool is an absolute must in our opinion 3. 'Change bed linen' cards should be amended from placement on the bed for the linen NOT to be changed to placement on the bed for the linen TO be changed as even environmentally conscious people such as ourselves sometimes forgot to actually place the card on the bed to prevent the linen from being changed. There may be a small cost impact in changing the wording on the cards but there would be a huge impact on the water and detergent usage and an uplift in staff moral as they would not have to change so many beds for sure!

Nestled in the midst of an exquisite location with mountains, sea, a golf course and a nature reserve, my stay at the hotel was one of the best getaway for the last ten years. The warm welcome and hospitality from the guard at the gatepost to the resident host to the landscapers are commendable. The dinner at Le Palmier was the best of all the hotels I visited for the last 10 years! keep Shining!

Room was very big, clean and well equipped. Cozy atmosphere and a big balcony with a great view to the sea. Room service and cleaning was perfect. Pools were clean, we recommend the heated one. Beach was tidy and also very clean. Staff was friendly but there was a bit of overhead in having to book all the restaurants for the dinner. There were times when we were told some of the restaurants were fully booked, while seeing later many empty tables. The activities were a nice addon. We took the "Morning Stretch" and the trainer was very kind and good at explaining the class.

This was our first stay at Le Telfair and it won’t be our last. Such a special place, characterised by warm staff, Great service, lovely food, a gorgeous hotel and great facilities. We enjoyed all of the restaurants here, including special mention for Gin’ja (thank you Ashley), Palmier, C Beach Club (thank you Yash and team), The Cavendish and memorably, the beautiful Chateau Del Ombre. I played golf multiple times of the immaculate and enjoyable La Chateau course and once on the challenging, breathtaking and very special La Reserve course. We had a beachfront suite which was beautiful and the service provided by our housekeeper Mendini meant that we always returned to a beautiful welcome home. Finally a special mention goes to Melvin - our resident host who simply couldn’t do enough to handle all of our bookings, questions and last minute requests - a real example of service excellence. My wife and I would strongly recommend the hotel and we will be booking our next trip for next year as soon as we are home
