Be aware!
Even if you book in advance , room with the view of the Brandenburg Gate , management can change this a day before your arrival . They don’t care if you not happy , offering free breakfast or drinks and still charging for it when checking out.

Surprisingly disappointing
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and always considered it as one of the best in Berlin. However on my last visit which was just for one night it was rather warm outside and the AC in my room wasn't working properly. When I called the front desk they told me they could reset it from there (meaning they control the lowest temp you can set it on) but it never changed. They then sent someone up to the room who had a look and offered a room change. At this point after over an hour of back and forth I was too tired to repack and change my room. I was also surprised that there was no kleenex in the room and after calling the front desk four times with no results, I gave up. Not the kind of service you expect from a five star hotel.

This hotel is fantastic. The service is wonderful and our room was beyond our expectations. The check-in process was swift and extremely courteous. The concierge was very helpful in assisting us with our sightseeing and dining plans. We were upgraded because of our American Express Platinum membership. This membership promises a one room upgrade if available. I can say that we received much more than one room upgrade. We have a beautiful suite that we love. We had dinner last night in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. The location is right by the Brandenburg gate and within walking distance of so many wonderful sights. Breakfast was delicious with numerous choices that will please everyone. I definitely recommend staying here. I do not think you will be disappointed.
