Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and always considered it as one of the best in Berlin. However on my last visit which was just for one night it was rather warm outside and the AC in my room wasn't working properly. When I called the front desk they told me they could reset it from there (meaning they control the lowest temp you can set it on) but it never changed. They then sent someone up to the room who had a look and offered a room change. At this point after over an hour of back and forth I was too tired to repack and change my room. I was also surprised that there was no kleenex in the room and after calling the front desk four times with no results, I gave up. Not the kind of service you expect from a five star hotel.

I had a pleasant, relaxing, comfortable stay at Hotel. The mention any standout aspects really made the experience memorable. I'd definitely recommend/return to this hotel for business/travel/leisure. Great!!

This hotel is fantastic. The service is wonderful and our room was beyond our expectations. The check-in process was swift and extremely courteous. The concierge was very helpful in assisting us with our sightseeing and dining plans. We were upgraded because of our American Express Platinum membership. This membership promises a one room upgrade if available. I can say that we received much more than one room upgrade. We have a beautiful suite that we love. We had dinner last night in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. The location is right by the Brandenburg gate and within walking distance of so many wonderful sights. Breakfast was delicious with numerous choices that will please everyone. I definitely recommend staying here. I do not think you will be disappointed.

My wife wrote a review saying you do not get a second chance at a first impression. She was very wrong. We had a problem with our room when we first arrived and she was not pleased with how this was dealt with. BUT the Guest Relations Manager, Matteo, worked wonders. The problem was sorted out and Mattel invited us for drinks as his guest and sent a chauffeur-driven car to take us to our dinner reservation. The reception staff are absolutely amazing - speaking perfect English, so helpful and polite and always willing to assist straightaway. “Perfection” is how we would describe this Hotel. From Stefan, the manager at Breakfast who remembered our names after Day 1 and remembered I liked the FT to all the lovely waiting staff and chambermaids. The training and recruitment that this hotel does ensures that only the best people work here. And there are many staff so there is never a moment when we could not find someone to ask. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with exquisite flower arrangements, candles lit at night in the reception, a pianist playing all afternoon and evening, the best Breakfast ever and lovely Cocktail Bar and lounge and Brasserie where we ate the first evening we were here. Positioned right by the Brandenburg Gate, and being where the former famous Adolon Hotel used to stand, it is in a perfect spot. There is no shortage of taxis outside to take you wherever you want to go. This is THE HOTEL to stay in when you come to Berlin
