The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin

We checked into the Ritz today after a long day of travel, only to be told that our room wouldn’t be ready until 3 PM—two hours after our arrival. We were assured that a priority note had been placed for housekeeping, as we agreed to wait patiently. In the meantime, we went to the hotel restaurant, where it took 3–5 minutes for someone to arrive and seat us. The menu was quite limited, and while the server spoke English, he seemed unfamiliar with the offerings. For example, when we inquired about the dressing on the only salad option, he had to leave to find out. Our experience continued to decline: our salad arrived with the wrong protein, my husband’s wine order was forgotten (and only delivered halfway through his meal), and parts of my son’s and my meals were missing. He also returned to clarify our original order more than once, which gave the impression of a lack of training or attentiveness. It is now nearly an hour past the time we were told our room would be ready, and we still have not been given access. This has been deeply disappointing and far from what one would expect at the Ritz. Unfortunately, this experience has fallen below even the standards of a three-star hotel—with poor service, limited offerings, and a frustratingly disorganized arrival that has completely ruined our afternoon.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend and loved everything about it! The location is perfect, the staff were extremely kind and service-minded, and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Carlton Club Suite with a connecting bedroom – it truly felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was sublime, and we would love to visit again.

What a fantastic stay! We were checked in by the lovely Richard who was absolutely amazing,professional and friendly and looked after us really well at check-in with a glass of champagne on arrival! We stayed in one of the corner junior suites!Simply gorgeous! The staff are friendly,attentive and always eager to please concierge was super informative and recommended lovely restaurants one of which was Katz orange ( lovely courtyard) The secret champagne Garden was visited on our last day after checkout and we were so glad we went to have a glass of fizz before we departed back home we were served by two lovely gentlemen forgive me I can’t recall their names one of them was from Greek and the other was a lovely young tall gentleman! All in all a fantastic stay! Would highly recommend a Segway tour! Fun way of seeing the city

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin at the end of a five-month trip through Europe and Egypt, and what Tommy Wobbe did for us was unlike anything we’ve experienced before. He reached out before we arrived and showed genuine interest in our journey. When we got to the room — which, by the way, was absolutely gorgeous (easily the most beautiful and glamorous room we’ve stayed in — spotlessly clean and in a perfect location) — we were completely blown away. Tommy had prepared a full table featuring food from each country we visited, paired with framed photos of each flag and a personalised handwritten message for every place. I honestly teared up. The effort and thought behind it were unbelievable. It wasn’t just a nice welcome — it felt personal, meaningful, and heartfelt. We’ve had welcome gifts and champagne before at other hotels, but this went way beyond that. It showed real care, effort, sincerity, and thoughtfulness. Tommy made the end of our long trip feel like something truly special — something we’ll remember forever. We’ll absolutely be back — not just because the hotel room and location were stunning, but because of the lasting impact Tommy had on us. He goes beyond hospitality — this is genuine human kindness. He’s a superstar. Thank you, Tommy. You’ve left a mark on us.

Just completed a 3 night stay and cannot recommend the property highly enough. My customer experience began with a disruption I experienced on my travels prior to arrival. The hotel's manager, Magdalena, went above and beyond to accommodate me and ensure my room was prepared based on my preferences on arrival. Gabriel at the front desk was excellent, as was Anthony who always greeted me with a warm smile upon arrival. I had many questions for the concerige, and Tabea provided thoughtful answers and great tips. The rooms are beautiful, well maintained, extremely quiet, and very clean. The bath amenities are top notch and the spa facilities were very nice. Location is excellent being right in the center of the city and across the street from the Potsdamer Platz metro station. Can't wait to return!
