Solid service and a very good location. The lounge offered really very good snacks including sushi, and definitely one of the better lounges. Rooms spacious and quiet. Main restaurant had a good selection of local cuisine, but I didn't realise until the last night that they had an additional more international menu, so do ask for that also.

We stayed for 5 days (June 10-15) with friends at the Berlin Marriott right next door, but when we returned a few days later I had booked the Ritz before our flight home. Wow, what a difference! We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived and were offered an upgrade to a junior suite (Room 734), which was so divine I wanted to dance a jig and stay a week. Unfortunately it was our last night before flights home to the states. Bed insanely comfortable, shower great (sorry I didn't get to use the tub), towels amazing, wonderful amenities. We were met by the cutest chocolate display and note to us and gift and note in the morning before we left. I mean I am a Bonvoy member, but not with any amazing status... Great breakfast on last morning (today) and hostess and waitress with huge smiles and offers of assistance. Even the housekeeping staff had big smiles and greetings. This is true hospitality. I usually go for value but since this was the last night of a two week vacation (which involved a lot of moving around and touring) I decided we should treat ourselves, and wow! Way to go Ritz Carlton! Just FYI, both the Ritz and Berlin Marriott are in an awesome location for visiting Berlin. I can understand why some people might like the more contemporary Marriott, but that room (so brown and no pictures at all on the walls) was merely functional, while the Ritz was wonderful! Both do the job, and since we were with friends at the Marriott and used the executive lounge, it was a great place to meet together and enjoy breakfast and a drink in the evening. So both have merit. I'm just so glad I decided to splurge on the Ritz for our last night. I'm still smiling, even in the midst of a 16 hour return trip to the states (via a 4 hour layover in Iceland)!

We were in Berlin for a wedding. We are loyal Marriott Bonvoy travelers so its a matter of which Marriott not is it going to be a Marriott. Recently in Asia, we had been enjoying the too cool for school Marriott Editions in Singapore and Tokyo. So, since Editions havn't arrive in Berlin, choosing the Ritz was pretty much a no brainer. Well, it was fabulous. The club on the 9th floor where we waited for our room to be ready (why do flights from the US arrive at 7 AM?) was over the top. Dominic is a delight. Nothing like an Italian manager to smooth the German edges. Rooms are Ritz quailty but very cutting edge, ulike some RCs that are a bit "traditional". My son was invited to the bachelor party, I was not, so I dropped into the restaurant for a quick bite. Well POTS, like FYSH at the Edition in Singapore is just outstanding by any standard. Dorothy, this isn't the Fairfield Inn in Kansas. And the sommilier was just incredible. I even went down the next day a bought three bottles of the wine he chose for me the night before to take home! I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Tommy Wobbe the guest experience manager and his assistant Olivia. They were always right there smoothing out any rough edges to insure that every guest walked away finding a reason to come back to Berlin. Weddings lead to babies, we will be back!

My husband and I checked into the hotel early (like 8:30am early) and thankfully our room was ready. Chloe checked us in swiftly and let us know the amenities we'd be enjoying. Kristoph was, by far, one of the most helpful, kind, and thoughtful front desk employees I've ever encountered. I used to work in hospitality whilst in uni and I haven't met a member of a hotel staff so professional and thoughtful like him in quite a while. Our room was spacious and lovely and the breakfasts we had delivered were absolutely delicious. Upon checking out (I was sad to leave Berlin, it was my first time to Germany and I didn't want to go) I noticed a little Ritz Carlton branded bag hanging from the door knob. I smiled wondering what it could be and I quickly put it in my carry on bag. I didn't open it until we landed in Poland. Inside the bag were two helpful tour guide books of Berlin along with notes from Kristoph of his must see/eat in Berlin. He also gave us two small pieces of Berlin memorabilia as well as a tin of delicious Berliner curry!!! Who does that!?! -A gracious human, that's who! My eyes totally welled up! What an amazing employee to go out of his way like that!!! This gift just proved how wonderful Berlin was/is and how we will not stay anywhere else but the Ritz-Carlton. Kristoph definitely deserves to be recognized for his contribution to the hospitality at your hotel. Thanks to him, you have loyal customers for life.

I was upgraded with my titanium status to a suite which was a very welcome recognition of my status. The club room had good food but the food often ran out too quickly and wasn’t always replaced that frequently. The room was very comfortable and the hotel’s amenities were quite nice. The main restaurant’s food was okay — I didn’t think it was that amazing for the price (we had the entrecôte) and the serving size was meager. Overall I really enjoyed the hotel stay and would come back again in the future.
