When Bob and I arrive at the Liberty , the guys at the door CJ , Brian ,Mr K , and Ping and Akeem, ready to greet us and take our luggage to the room . They are always pleasant, happy and smiling ! The front desk , Casey and Mirko always ready to get us to breakfast, which is nothing short of delicious and always fresh. Austin sits us at a table and makes sure we are happy with our seat! Debbie, Sandy , and Tracy are always happy to wait on us , they know what we eat and drink and are great to talk to. Wonderful service! After we rest in the room for a bit, we come to the bar and eat lunch . Travis , Rob , Collin are always ready with lunch menus and they never forget what we drink ! When my husband had his stroke two years ago , he was in the hospital for 4 weeks. I stayed at the hotel by myself and felt very safe and well taken of. Always fruit and a drink and dinner in my room when I got back from hospital. Ali made sure I got back and forth from the hospital safe and sound everyday . Ali always makes sure to this day , two years later that we are taken care of , Bob has drs appointments almost every month , he makes our reservation and the room is always perfect . Very clean . We cannot say enough about the Liberty . Bob and I have stayed at other hotels including the Harbor View in Martha’s Vineyard. I give that hotel a 3 and the Liberty a 10 . It’s the best hotel in Massachusetts, I recommend if anyone coming to Boston for any reason stay at the Liberty you will not be disappointed. From Bob and Mona Souza

I stayed at the Liberty for two consecutive weeks, I never have to stay again. Apparently, the hotel, which is in serious need of an upgrade on all aspects, gym (might be the smallest and worst in the city); rooms, which haven't seen an upgrade in 20 years and many are missing pieces of furniture, and the bar/lounge, where staff are great in spite of management. Pedestrian at best, atrocious at the worst. I am a frequent flyer to Boston who spend 100+ nights on the road, most in Boston. The Liberty contacted me, asking if I would consider them for a corporate rate, however they treat me the worst in the city. Upgrades (never); rooms, missing equipment. Late checkout, I was sick last week and I had them booking my room even though they had given me 4pm late checkout. In a word, pedestrian at best, atrocious at worst. Worst of all, THEY DON'T care about your business. For reference I am a Ambassador with Marriot and I have 60 nights through March, many of them at the Liberty. How am I treated, like chatel (or Tom Brady's exs). Done with the hotel and everyone should know how they feel about loyalty. Pathetic.

The stellar service starts the minute you pull in the driveway! Steve was not only welcoming but accommodating. He was truly genuine and so kind, which was exactly what I needed after a day of travel and traffic!

Room is small, kind of nice but not that nice (eg 3.5 star bathroom). The only thing that stands out is the lobby and the ambience there. But you don’t even need to stay as a guest to enjoy that. For us our room also had a strange odor. I don’t think it’s terrible, but it’s totally not at the luxury level
