While checking in, I realized that I had left my passport behind at the hotel in Paris. Ronald, who was at the check in counter called the Paris hotel where I stayed and informed them about it. Fortunately the housekeeping staff there had found my passport and turned it over to the Reception Desk at the Paris hotel. Ronald was very helpful and empathetic and he confirmed that my passport was in the locker of the Paris hotel. Fortunately I was going back to Paris after 3 days and got my passport. The room at the hotel was clean and service was also good with the staff being pleasant and ready to help. We got 2 complimentary bottles of water daily. I would definitely stay again at Le Louise if I go back to Brussels. The location of the hotel is also good and is in a safe neighbourhood.

Our holiday in Brussels was spoiled by our stay here. My partner has accessibility issues and chronic ill health. We had been promised a first floor room with walk-in shower. On arrival, the staff were completely unfriendly. They allocated a second floor room and when challenged, we were told that we'd have to stay in the second floor room, and then move the following day. A big inconvenience. The room was very uncomfortable, one of the mattresses was at an angle, and the pillows themselves were so dirty and stained that they smelled. The kettle stank of cheese and when we asked for this to be replaced it was washed out and handed back to us still smelling. We had to insist on a different kettle which they obtained from another room. After a poor night of sleep we spent until 2pm trying to sort out the room issues, only to be told that there was no such thing as a twin bedded room on the first floor! We were promised that our existing room would be cleaned and made good for our return from sightseeing. On our return it had not been touched - still in the same condition. We were told that we would have to wait in the lobby if we wanted the room made up! So, we decided to move to a different room, on the third floor! This room was more comfortable but still had dirty smelly pillows. We had lost the will to complain further as we felt that we were not being seen as significant customers. In addition, the air conditioning system sounded like a foundary! Each time we dealt with a different member of staff who did not communicate our issues to the next. It was hugely stressful, ate into our holiday experience, and we were treated as an inconvenience rather than our situation being an inconvenience. Solving the problem through a continuous loop of poor communication does not equate to a five star customer experience. A couple of days later, we asked why they had done nothing to appease us, and we had been told that they had deducted 30% from our first nights stay which was a paltry aplology which hadn't actually been communicated to us! On leaving they attempted to charge us for a breakfast that we hadn't taken, and riffled through piles of paperwork to make sure that we hadn't taken it! The whole experience was a complete fiasco from start to finish, and we wonder who is responsible for coordinating the customer experience at this hotel.

Really lovely stay last year, couldn’t fully staff or the hotel itself, perfect for an overnight stay in Brussels. Breakfast was lovely as well!

I spent 5 nights at the Le Louise MGallery in Brussels, fka the Sofitel Brussels Le Louise. This hotel is in one of the nicer neighborhoods in Brussels and I was at the hotel here once in 2016 when it was a Sofitel — and I wasn’t an Accor Live Limitless member then. I stayed here with a combination of paying for my stay up front and paying €320 ($360 USD or so) in Accor points — so I spent about $350 total. As a Gold member now, I got my applicable benefits like a Welcome drink (which I used at dinner later on) and a room upgrade - even though I paid over half of my trip in points. There were only 11 rooms on my floor and I’d imagine there are only 11 rooms on each of the remaining floors as well. My room faced away from Avenue Louise/Gulden-Vlieslaan and I was able to get five comfortable nights of sleep while on vacation. The bed is about as comfortable as any that I’ve been on. The room is large for European standards with an open closet that could really hold enough clothes for 5 people. The fridge had two bottles of water which got refilled each day if you took the waters. The breakfast here is a buffet with scrambled eggs, fruit, cereal, breads, sausage, bacon, and eggs to order. Food was regularly replaced through 10:30 at close on the weekdays. Some other things about convenience with this hotel: 1 - Nearest supermarket: For most of us, there’s a Delhaize in the Louise/Louiza station which is about a 2 minute walk. Just take the escalator, buy your waters, snacks, etc. No need to go past the tap-and-pay gates. Open until 10 pm every day. There is also a Carrefour about a 10 minute walk away. 2 - Going around town: It’s 3 stops away from Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi/Brussels South station via Line 2 or Line 6 on the Brussels subway - trains go every 5-6 minutes during the day and the Louise/Louiza corner has a big tram station as well. Brussels South is the main train station that takes you to all the major cities in Belgium like Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven, Mons, Liege, Namur, etc. 3 - It’s about a 20 minute walk from the Grote Markt/Grand Place and about a 20-25 min walk to the EU area. On vacation you won’t mind going on the longer walks. 4 - Staff is friendly and helpful. ave me tips on how movies work in Brussels (All the English language versions are available with Dutch/French subtitles. Some movies are played with French or Dutch dubbing within Brussels. 5 - The hotel is next to shopping mall, literally next to a Nike store, the Apple Store for Brussels and a movie theater. 6 - There is no need to walk all the way to the historic center for Belgian chocolate. There are numerous Neuhaus shops within a 10 minute walk, and a Pierre Marcolini on Ave Louise in the same complex as another luxury hotel. Again, I enjoyed my stay at the Le Louise MGallery after not visiting this property in nearly a decade. It is well renovated. And it is still a 5 star hotel in every sense. I certainly will look to continue visiting this hotel in the future when I return to Belgium.

Noisy room, air conditioning constantly in error, stole champagne from by fridge, had to argue to get my included breakfast. As a Accor Diamond extremely disappointed.
