Steigenberger Wiltcher's

Overall a very disappointing stay at the once excellent Steigenberger Wiltcher’s. The hotel is classed as a 5 star Superior property but the services and atmosphere were simply lacking. No doormen on duty, no luggage assistance, and the lobby and whole hotel felt dead - no staff around no ambience. The gentleman at check in was friendly and welcoming but that was the only interaction we had. We were not shown to our room which was a shame. When we arrived in the room I really did not like the style or the feel of the room - it felt very corporate and bland. I had asked for feather pillows and instead of removing the synthetic ones the feather ones were just left on the foot stool. The view from the room was very uninspiring and the sofa (sofa bed) was so broken down you had to sit on a hard lip at the front. We did move rooms to a lower category such was better but the bed was lumpy and too soft and poorly made and the shower head was very badly scaled up. It just felt like the hotel had lost its way. Food and drink was highly overpriced and not good quality - 11 Euros for half a litre of water and 30 Euros for a Chicken Caesar salad. Staff were for the most part were friendly and I was presented with a lovely bottle of champagne and cake on my birthday morning which was very kind. However overall it just felt flat and bland like a 4 star tourist hotel at best. I contacted the GM and he was apologetic and understanding. I know the gentleman to be an excellent manager so not sure why things have deteriorated so much. I think it is unlikely that we would wish to return to the hotel as it has s currently.

Very beautiful Hotel, classic and fancy. Staff very friendly and professional, I can warmly recommend this hotel, the location is also great! I will definitely come back again.

I spent 7 nights at Steigenberger Wiltcher’s, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for true luxury in Brussels, this is the place to be. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with large bathrooms and working air conditioning — something many hotels in Brussels surprisingly lack. The hotel is located in a quiet, upscale area but still close to everything. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Grand Place, and you’re surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, and boutiques. The service was exceptional. I want to personally thank Ms. Leana and F. Dragon at the front desk for the warm welcome and quick check-in. They made the arrival process very smooth. A special mention also goes to Mr. Pierre, the concierge supervisor, who was not only incredibly helpful but became like a friend during my stay. He always greeted me with a smile and gave great advice on using the train system to explore different parts of the city. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. If I ever return to Brussels, I won’t think twice — I’ll book here again. Highly recommended for couples, families, and business travelers alike.

We were unable to make our connection from Brussels to Marsielle this week because of the French transit strike. We booked a room at the Wiltchers Hotel in Brussels. My wife and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world. I am exceptionally impressed by our stay here. The staff, especially Pierre at the Concierge desk are responsible for making our stay a wonderful experience. Pierre made some great recommendations for meals and day trips, but where he really made a difference is -I travel w a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. My equipment broke down and not only did Pierre make an emergency repair w scissors and duct tape. He made arrangements for a new hose to be delivered to our next stop hotel in Paris. I was very impressed.

A quick business stay - but in summary a very clean hotel with excellent service, large rooms with a much more traditional feel. It is also in a great position with many and varied restaurants within 5minutes walk. Would stay again for business or pleasure.
