About the Hotel
Matild Palace boasts a distinctive ambience representative of its Hungarian heritage, which runs beautifully through its core and is unmistakable from the moment guests step in through the front doors. Built during the Belle Epoque era, in 1902, Matild Palace was developed under the patronage of Her Imperial and Royal Highness Maria Klotild of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to serve as the social hub of the city. She dreamed of the twin palaces to greet those who enter the bridge as a graceful lady.

Beautiful hotel in a great location
This hotel is beautiful. Our room was fabulous- very comfy big bed, amazing bathroom, loads of towels and an evening refresh if you’ve managed to use them all. Very very quiet in the rooms. Great location. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar and the restaurant very good. Fabulous location

An absolutely amazing stay at Tilde Palace! Everything about this hotel was incredible. The service was exceptional—the staff really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We especially loved the spa, which was top-notch and very relaxing. The breakfast was also very good with a great variety. We will definitely be returning for another visit soon!

An oasis of luxury and relaxation in the heart of Budapest
The Mathild Palace hotel is my hotel of choice when staying in Budapest and I can equally recommend it for Business travelers as well as for people spending a weekend or a week in the city - All staff are extremely attentive and friendly making your stay really special and remembering details from previous stays - the rooms and suites are very spacious and luxurious. Particularly nice are the suites which look out on the Elisabeth bridge - Breakfast has been a true pleasure with a very wide selection of items. Also the food at Spago is very recommendable - the concierge managed to get us a table in a restaurant which was fully booked so they really maintain good connections - as part of the Marriott bonvoy group the hotel allows regular travellers to earn points and also respects all benefits of Bonvoy Elite members. We got a very nice upgrade to a large suite - the gym is very large and modern - truly recommendable - the spa offers very nice services. I recommend to try a Hamman treatment I can only recommend the Mathild Palace - for me the best hotel for a luxury stay in Budapest.

Luxury experience in Budapest
We had a wonderful stay at Matild Palace in mid December as part of our European tour. The location is absolutely perfect—central and convenient for exploring the city. The bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day out, and the service was truly excellent throughout the stay. A special thanks to concierge Aaron who demonstrated high level of knowledge of the city with great recommendations. One night we enjoyed drinks at the rooftop - fantastic atmosphere with stunning views and a stylish setting. The cocktails are excellent and the overall experience feels refined. Even though the spa doesn't have a pool, it's a perfect place to relax and recharge. They also offer Hammam. We learnt that this stunning historical palace was once owned by a royalty and is a UNESCO site. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable experience with excellent servcie.

Gorgeous hotel in Budapest
We ended a Christmas Markets River Cruise in Budapest and stayed at the Matild Palace. It was a wonderful way to end the trip. The hotel was so impressive and the rooms were gorgeous. The staff were super helpful. And the bar on the top floor afforded a beautiful view of Budapest at night.
