The bar was high with my expectations. This is not a typical chain hotel but a unique elegant mansion converted to a hotel some years ago. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was one of the nicer suites we've experienced anywhere in the world. It was not particularly massive or over the top luxury...but...it had a dense elegant feel to it. Each room, each closet, each feature was...perfectly appropriate. AC was VERY effective and the sound of the fan served as the best "white sound" we've encountered for strong sleep! Huge tub was a good size for one or two. Huge Shower, with long shelf and sit down bench, was more a shower room than a shower. But, it worked for quick or leisurely showers of one or more people. Shelves, display, and towels were in abundance. Twice daily service was not optional, it was mandatory and perfectly executed, and kept things feeling just right. Finally, our room came with Butler service. I'm not a big butler guy and figured that would not be a big deal. How wrong could I be? Wrong! Denise and Francisco were both so very helpful and a delight to interact with. Francisco took over helping with our Delta lost luggage. Denise kept us properly anticipated at the eating venues. Both were well trained and helpful without being intrusive. There is no way we will not return if we're ever in Buenos Aires again!

The Park Hyatt hotel was an incredible experience. Throughly enjoyed our stay and everything you need is onsite. From great restaurants to a spa and pool this hotel will provide a truly resort style experience in a major city.

One of the most opulent hotels in BA. Massive stone place that takes up the entire block. I usually like the Park Hyatt brand and one of my favourite hotels anywhere is the Park Hyatt Beijing, but this hotel was not for me. I spent Hyatt points to stay here as the cost is exhorbitant, and it has to be given the presumably extreme fixed cost of operating a place so large. Is it bad? Not at all. I am just not the market that appreciates what it gives. I feel it is geared more towards the people who say "look where I am staying". The hotel itself is art. I found the room clean, quiet, and functional and had a relaxed enjoyable stay., but there is little memorable about it (as I write this 7 months after staying there). The staff is certainly friendly, helpful, and go the extra distance to be sure you are getting what you need/want. It seems to be the centrepiece in an extremely upper end neighbourhood. If you like opulance and service to match, it is hard to find a better hotel in BA. This place is near the local airport, convention centre and I could easily walk to a number of high-class hotels, and one family owned place which is great. Okay. One more Park Hyatt off my list. Again, I found nothing wrong with the hotel, which says a lot by itself, I is simply not my style.

The hotel is amazingly beautiful! The restaurants have wonderful aesthetics, menu options and comfort. Service issues: A glaring issue is there are many service staff but they keep their heads down and appear to not know what they are doing - particularly in the restaurants during the day. They rarely check on guests and have to be tracked down. Simple requests take a long long time. I recommend training or at least one manger on the premises. I did not see this the 4 days we were there and it would have made our daytime meals (we spent quite a bit of time and money there) much more pleasant.

My family and I stayed here over Christmas, we had two rooms, one set up for a couple, and the other for our children and their grandmother. The room quality is excellent and you'd expect from a Park Hyatt. The location is convenient for attractions in and around Recoleta, and there are nice restaurants nearby. The onsite dining options are also quite good. If you're going to have breakfast here, you should book it ahead of your arrival. Kudos to the concierges here, they handled our requests with aplomb, including fixing a reservation with the national airline.
