About the Hotel

Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa feels secluded, even though it’s still considered part of Cabo’s Marina Golden Zone. At the far end of the area’s development, quiet, tranquil beaches await, and a string of infinity pools cascade down the resort’s hillside. Hacienda’s traditional Mexican-style suites start at 800 square feet – book a Family Suite for twice that much space – and are outfitted in earth tones with handcrafted furniture and textiles from Guadalajara. Guests who want to venture afield can enjoy their all-inclusive privileges at Golden Zone restaurants, accessible by complimentary shuttle.

GREAT RESORT & RESTAURANTS

This is an amazing resort! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, pools lovely, & our 2 bedroom suite was gorgeous & so comfortable. All of the staff was so kind, attentive, & helpful. We especially liked ISABEL EMANUEL at Las Marias where we had breakfast. She was wonderful & made sure we were taken care of very well. Gracias, Isabel!

Best Fitness Trainer in Cabo!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 14 hours ago

Cesar was a very gracious fitness trainer at the fitness center. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. When I needed help with the gym equipment he not only showed me how to use the equipment but he also guided me through a complete workout. I can't believe I got a private fitness trainer without even asking! Cesar taught me new training tips that I can use after I return home. Thank you, Cesar

Relaxation week

Pleasant experience all around. Shot out to Bell Man Eric, concierge Manny and pool concierge Tania. Only complaint is people saving pool chairs at 8am and not coming to them for hours. Often times no place to sit and having to go to kid pool area.

This visit was amazing , as the resort grows, there are many more activities to do and things to see. Tania and the rest of the staff here is amazing and made the trip very enjoyable. The restaurant in the vista tower was delicious and the view of Cabo amazing.

Fantastic spot!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Hacienda Encantada! The pools were well maintained and at a good temperature, the food generally very good and the staff attentive & friendly. (bonus for all of them entertaining my very pedestrian Spanish). Rooms: we had a basic double queen room with a western ocean facing view which was lovely to sit out & enjoy coffee each morning, as well as dry off swimwear several times a day. Well kept & stocked daily with coffee/ water / beer. Activities: Ariel & Monse ran some very fun on-site events throughout the week that were free to join, however we were unaware of them until we sort of stumbled upon them (there's a videoboard in the "Vista" lobby). Breakfast: Las Marias - beautiful al fresco views, lovely attentive staff & delicious breakfast buffet with everything you could possibly want Lunch/ Poolside Snacking: La Pergola - deliciously sloppy nachos, burgers, wings etc. but the real draw here is the sushi menu - so many "caught that morning fresh" options (octopus tostadas!) Great waiters include Eric & Jaime Il Forno: pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, snacks brought to your chaise or daybed (pizza is passable but super cheesy) Great waiters include Juan de Dios and Vladimir behind the bar Dinner: El Mestizo - On the top floor of "Vista Encantada" a beautiful room (also does breakfast), amazing views to the East, lots of delicious fresh fish selections like seabass. Dress up! LaTrajinera - charming & warm, food was lovely Barolo - despite the fact that the Manager couldn't have been more lovely and earnest, the food (that we got to) was inauthentic. Maybe had we stuck with it & ordered a second course like pasta things would have improved, but the carpaccio and minestrone were big misses and the kids didn't see anything they'd enjoy on the menu, so we left for Il Forno El Eden - first night & without a reso we were graciously accepted here. Amazing delicious Mexican buffet with amazing tortilla soup, tacos, fried seafood, rice, churros etc... we had our final night here also and enjoyed a spectacular Magic Show as we enjoyed dinner! Los Riscos - mesquite fired grill, my ribeye was absolutely delicious but everything was quite slow here (Note: we were 100% forewarned that the kitchen was running behind - so, forgiven) Misc: Fresco (juice / panini bar) - next to the spa in the Vista Encantada, we unfortunately didn't discover this gem until our last hour - so enjoyed some delicious fresh smoothies and panini Cantomar: the lobby bar - wonderful drinks served up by the muy amable Augustin! Fantastic views east also. Getting around the resort: It's a fairly sprawling area, some walks can be lengthy. To mitigate this, they have a fleet of elongated golf carts (carritos) which are always around & you can either call one or just hop in when you see one to get where you need to go. Marina Fiesta: With the all inclusive plan, guests can also enjoy drinks & meals at 4 other restaurants at the sister hotel in the Marina, we only got to two but they were awesome. (Jack's & Deseo). The free shuttle is quick, regular and a great way to get offsite & explore some shopping etc. Lastly, and this has been mentioned a great deal: In the all-inclusive plan, with every single drink, meal, snack whatever - you get a bill. It was irritating to start with, but you get accustomed to it before too long. It occurred to me that this is 100% an accounting need, where they can see where the money is being spent, keep an eye on inventory, track trends etc. Of course there's no charge to the Guest, unless you'd like to leave a tip (I always left a bit of cash for snacks / drinks - more for full dinners). BUT: the amount these bills add up to are remarkably high (another good argument to go w/ all-inclusive), so you will be spending a LOT on tipping if you were to ever go with a "regular" percentage of say 15-20%. I'm unsure whether or not all of these all-inclusive resorts are going to follow suit, or if this is the only one giving bills. Regardless, a bit of an inconvenience (I'd prefer to just leave some $$ under a plate and be able to leave when I wanted), but not a dealbreaker. The staff & quality of food, drink and setting were enough to make up for the inconvenience. Thank you Hacienda Encantada!!! :)
