Perfectly located just steps away from the main marina where most of the reef experiences launch from and within easy walking distance of the cities lagoon/swimming pool. The rooms were well kept and the hotel had a cool vibe to it, with a bunch of plants and trees in a central atrium area. The swimming pool was nice and big with plenty of towels and a bar service available. They didn’t have a bartender on staff the day we were using it, but we were able to dial a number for service. The breakfast was excellent. For Hilton gold and above you got free continental(which was expansive) and for an extra $10 you could upgrade to the hot buffet which also included an omelette. I did the extra add-on every day and found it to be well worth it. They also had a lobby bar which had some events and a sushi bar attached. Never did any of the food options but the drinks were on point. I asked the bartender to surprise with his favorite local gin cocktail and the thing he gave me was spectacular. Parking was an extra fee of $25 per day with the garage being right under the building and having plenty of spots available. This hotel checked a lot of boxes for us and made our stay super easy. Being within walking distance of so many things was amazing.

Classy hotel with extremely helpful staff. The pool is one of the few heated ones in the area. Location is perfect - in a lovely part of Cairns overlooking the marina. At check-in we were lucky to receive an upgrade on the room we booked which made our final night in Australia all the more special. Thank you to the lady who arranged this - ‘Eena’ I think she was called (sorry if that’s not correct).

We stayed here for 2 nights in a Club King Room. The room was of decent size, king bed, pillows that I didn’t like, 2 side tables with lamps, a very large comfy chair, desk with usb connections. A small balcony with 2 seats and a coffee table. The wardrobe comes with slippers & dressings gowns, iron, ironing board, safe and a shopping bag. The bathroom is small with the shower over a bath. Not ideal for those who have issues getting in and out, but it's not so bad as the bath is low. The shower was always hot and water pressure is fantastic. A single vanity with plenty of space and a couple of shelves for storage of your items. The towels are very good, but large and so are the hand towels. The room is nicely decorated and comfortable. As we had club access, we went there waiting for our room to be ready as we arrived early. There was no staff at the time, so you help yourself to tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake. There were no mugs only paper cups to drink out of. The club is opened from 6pm to 8pm for evening drinks and canapés. Evening canapés was good, its was different on both nights and the drinks you can order are spirits, wine and beer. If you like wine in a stemmed glass, you will have to ask for it. Wine is served in stemless glasses which I hate. The servers of an evening are friendly. Breakfast is served from 6am to 9.30am. There is not a huge selection, poached eggs, bacon, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms. Different kinds of bread for toasting, cold meats, cheese, fruit and fruit juices in bottles. You will get different foods on different days. It was poached eggs on both days we were here. The first morning the server started packing up at 9.15am. We were not impressed by this. We did speak to the day manager at reception, and they were going to take this up with the foods & beverage manager. Please note that children are allowed in the executive club lounge. They were pretty quite for a while, then they started running around. We were told the Hilton is “family friendly”. I like to be in the executive lounges to get away from kids, not having to deal with them in what should be adult time. The hotel itself is nice, they have some beautiful art work scattered around. Staff that we had interactions with were very pleasant and helpful. We did not go into the lobby bar, café or the pool.

Excellent location; very friendly checking desk. Rooms are clean and decently appointed. The hotel is old but kept quite well. Food at the Club level is ok and so is breakfast.

Had a beautiful suite with lovely views. The executive lounge was very good with lots of options for breakfast and snacks. Valet service was excellent. The only issue I can mention is the very limited options for room service.
