Amanoi

A five night stay in an ocean pool villa proved pure magic, exceeding all reasonable expectations. As Aman veterans also working our way through The World’s 50 Best Hotels, we have found nothing yet that delivers on this level. Amanoi has given us memories that are certain to last a lifetime. Two aspects of our stay demand highlighting: (1) Gender equality. Women occupy positions of responsibility at Amanoi. Importantly, my spouse was always treated as my equal. Too often in the luxury market my partner feels relegated to the sideline. Not so here! (2) The spa. It’s magical! We are not spa people — often I fall asleep during a massage half out of boredom. Here, though, we felt as though our hot stone treatment was an ancient ritual we were lucky to take part in. The spa here is truly exceptional, freeing mind and body in way that allowed us to soak in fully the Amanoi experience. The expectation at any Aman is that it will deliver on service. Amanoi excels even against this bar. Normally in a review I like to point out staff that went the extra mile (Tristan? Loann?). I think though this is the approach here. *Everyone* at Amanoi came across as genuine, willing to share, and fully capable to seeing to whatever your wishes may be. Nevertheless, there were two notable fumbles. We are strict vegetarians and made so abundantly clear in advance communications. Yet, we were set up to fish, and invited to do so on the catamaran experience. Similarly, we were walked through the meat and seafood portion of the market on the lost kingdom of Cham experience, despite an explicit request that we not do so just prior. Still, the food was excellent and the variation sufficient for a vegetarian to stay at least five nights. For those of you looking to book a beach vacation, you may well have the wrong spot. Winds have the potential to kick up and the temperature does not rise to level of the world’s best spots, at least in February. Expect instead a culture bomb of Vietnamese life, art and food paired with perfection of room and view.

Gorgeous, secluded, peaceful! This hotel is expertly nestled in a national park. You feel completely secluded and have the most privacy in your room. You are alone in nature. The rooms are spacious with great outdoor space and views. The lunch and dinner menus are expansive and everything is simply delicious. Service is unmatched - attentive and aware.

Let me start by saying that in a world of overused superlatives, Amanoi stands as a quiet, majestic testament to what true luxury—and yes, perfection—actually feels like. It is not merely a hotel; it is a rare symphony where every element harmonizes so completely that you begin to wonder if you’ve stepped into a dreamscape meticulously crafted for the soul. From the moment you arrive, the gorgeous view asserts itself not as a feature, but as the very essence of the place. Perched within the pristine Nui Chua National Park, overlooking the cerulean embrace of Vinh Hy Bay, the panorama is a living painting. The vistas—from the craggy cliffs to the private white-sand coves—are staggeringly beautiful at every hour. Dawn spills gold over the East Sea, and dusk turns the sky into a watercolor masterpiece. The architecture, all graceful curves and soaring pavilions, seems not built upon the land, but to have grown from it, framing these views with a reverence that takes your breath away. Yet, what elevates Amanoi from a place of stunning beauty to a realm of flawless experience is its heart: the perfect staff. To call them attentive would be a profound understatement. They possess an almost intuitive sense of grace and anticipation. Every need is met before it is fully articulated, always with a genuine, warm smile that feels deeply rooted in Vietnamese hospitality. They are not just employees; they are quiet guardians of your peace, knowledgeable guides to the region’s secrets, and the discreet architects of seamless days. Their professionalism is absolute, yet it is wrapped in a kindness that makes you feel not just welcomed, but truly cherished. Every detail follows this same unimpeachable standard. The villa, a sanctuary of space and serenity, is a study in elegant, minimalist design. In sum, Amanoi is that rarest of finds: a destination that not only promises perfection but delivers it, consistently and quietly, in every glance and every gesture. It is where nature’s grandeur meets human excellence in flawless harmony. From the gorgeous views to the perfect staff, all was, simply and unequivocally, perfect. It’s more than a stay; it’s a benchmark for everything a luxury sanctuary should be. A Beyond-Perfect Experience

Excellent! All was perfect. Room, service, food, location. Extremely good management. Even though they don’t have a kids club, they have children activities.

Why subtle considerations? Amanoi excels in monitoring the resident's behaviours and quirks, and familiarising themselves with these behaviours and inclinations. The staff is impeccable when it comes to the small details, and the team observes and acts. Some examples - (i) My partner went for breakfast with a sniffle and automatically, a box of tissues was put beside him. (ii) Another case was my allergy to alcohol - the housekeeping team removed all alcoholic beverages from the mini bar upon our check-in (iii) The villa's pool is heated to a constant 26C and you have the option to have it heated even more overnight so that it's warmer in the morning (they can cover the pool) (iv) throughout our stay, it was raining on and off, and at times the rain was rather heavy, which made the roads outside the villa laden with dead frogs, snails and worms. We noticed a couple of hours later (after breakfast) that the roads had been cleared. (v) during a meal, my partner had to take a call and stepped away from the table. His bowl of hot pho came. When the staff realise he was not coming back soon, they took the bowl away and served him with a hot bowl when he came back. All these considerations were possible only because of the attentive staff, who convey to each other the preferences of each and every guest. In particular, we thought to express our heartfelt gratitude to the following (non-exhaustive) list of staff whose names we managed to catch:- Hoang, Puthu, Linh, Xuan, Tian and Binh. We had a wonderful and restful stay - marred occasionally by the weather. Definitely will want to return when opportunity arises. Thank you Amanoi crew!
