Charles Hotel

Unmatched location for checking out the Harvard area (my daughter was attending their lacrosse camp). Rooms were spacious, updated, and clean with fun decor. Great bathroom - large shower, high quality cleansers/lotions, a DryBar hair dryer. There is also an Avis location on site which I wish I had realized beforehand (my oversight as it's on their website). We booked using Amex points and they have a partnership with Amex that gave us many other benefits ($ credits to their restaurants and extra snacks at check-in, etc) so suggest booking thru the Amex site to tap into those. We'll be back!

The best hotel for our family during our stay in Boston. I love the Charles's stylish and humble, yet luxurious atmosphere!

The Charles hotel is a very good hotel in a great part of Cambridge. I can’t think of any issues with my stay there, but I also can’t think of any Wow! moments either. It’s just a really well maintained and clean hotel with good service in a great location. There are plenty of food options both in the hotel as well as in the neighborhood. There is excellent T access if you need to take public transport as well. My only small complaints are that the hotel’s layout and room numbering can be confusing. Also, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty and the cleaning service forgot to fill it every day I was there. As you can see, super minor complaints. You can expect a very nice stay at this hotel

The pillow were very thin ( had to pile up 3 just to equal one pillow) the bed was not comfortable and the room was hot and humid. hotel was not worth the money and I will never stay here again. I had 3 of the worst nights of sleep.

We are almost done with a one week stay here. We are a family of four on this trip with one of my daughters in a summer program at Harvard. The hotel is very convenient for that purpose. I have to say I was a little bit nervous, reading some of the reviews. We have not experienced anything at all negative whatsoever on this wonderful visit here to the Charles Hotel. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious. The upkeep is great and everything works perfectly. They are well provision. Everything we need is here. The only thing extra we wanted was a tea kettle which they brought right away with a smile. The main reason I wanted to post is just to say that every single person here has been incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. From the check-in desk were both attendance were smiling, prompt and welcoming; to the restaurant and bar staff at Henrietta and Enza; to the housekeeping and concierge - everyone has been incredibly helpful and on their game. I have had zero issues with Service and it’s actually hard to imagine that some of the reviews I read could possibly apply to the people I have been interacting with. Wherever those reviews came from, I have to give all of the team members here a super positive review. They deserve it. I think you can book here without any hesitation.
