Charles Hotel

We’ve stayed at The Charles Hotel many times, and what keeps us coming back is the people. From the moment we pull up, the valet staff greet us with such genuine warmth, and the team at Henrietta’s Table always makes us feel remembered and welcomed. That personal touch is rare, and it makes each visit feel like coming back to a familiar and special place. Beyond the excellent service, the hotel itself has a timeless charm and a perfect location in the heart of Harvard Square. Every stay feels comfortable, memorable, and a little bit unique, thanks to the thoughtful way the staff cares for their guests. The Charles will always be one of our favorite places to return to.

Exactly what you would expect staying at a premier hotel. The staff was courteous and professional. The room was spotless and the bed was ultra comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower amazing. The adjacent parking was convenient with "in and out" flexibility for those of us who prefer to self park. We look forward to our next visit.

On a quiet weekend in the Square, we were treated with the utmost attention. Very comfortable beds and linens. Open and airy common spaces come together to create a luxurious, easy vibe all of its own.

I have stayed at the Charles Hotel several times and will continue do so whenever I can due to the excellent location and wonderful staff. The staff at the Charles Hotel are always friendly and prioritize customer service. On this trip, my elderly parents were having some health issues and, unfortunately, we had to check out early. Halima at the front desk went above and beyond to help us and ensure we were taken care of and were able to check out a day early without issues.

Unmatched location for checking out the Harvard area (my daughter was attending their lacrosse camp). Rooms were spacious, updated, and clean with fun decor. Great bathroom - large shower, high quality cleansers/lotions, a DryBar hair dryer. There is also an Avis location on site which I wish I had realized beforehand (my oversight as it's on their website). We booked using Amex points and they have a partnership with Amex that gave us many other benefits ($ credits to their restaurants and extra snacks at check-in, etc) so suggest booking thru the Amex site to tap into those. We'll be back!
