Calvin Cherry is a Royal Sonesta Star!
We were traveling to Mass General for medical care and felt at home at the Royal Sonesta Cambridge right away! Calvin greeted us as if we were a member of his family and gave us quite the Royal welcome, we were impressed to say the least! He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at ease even amidst the upcoming medical treatment (he didn't even realize the purpose of our trip at first and we felt as if we were being taken care of by a good friend, which now we will definitely consider him as!). Calvin Cherry is a wonderful asset to this location and has maintained a warm and professional relationship with us during a difficult time health wise. Truly an exceptional location with great food, excellent views and a top notch team! Everyone has been friendly and accommodating! We love it so much we are looking to book again towards the end of the month and I have already spoken with our family members about joining us here on a future trip!

Concert getaway
We checked in at Boston and Calvin Cherry the Front desk manager was amazing! He greeted us with a warm smile and upgraded us to a beautiful room with a view! He went above and beyond with customer his costumer service!

Calvin, Front Desk Manager, was absolutely phenomenal. His hospitality was truly outstanding and made this stay exceptional. I’m here on a work trip this time, but because of Calvin’s incredible service, I will absolutely return for a leisure stay in the future. Terrible noise treatment
Many of their rooms are adjoining with the next room over, meaning they have doors to possibly connect with the room next door. That makes it so you can LITERALLY HEAR EVERY LITTLE NOISE from the next room. From people’s alarms in the morning, to what tiktoks they are watching before bed or what they are talking about on their phone calls out loud. There is NO SOUND TREATMENT. Be ready to sleep with noise cancelling headphones or at least a pair of ear plugs. Would give zero stars if I could

I recently stayed at the The Royal Sonesta Boston from April 12–17, and I can honestly say it was one of the most welcoming hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything about the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained—but what truly made this stay stand out was the exceptional service. In particular, Calvin, who works evenings and nights, went above and beyond in every possible way. He didn’t just do his job—he made us feel like we were part of the family. Calvin was consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Whether it was checking in on us, making sure we had everything we needed, or simply taking the time to have a friendly conversation, he created an atmosphere that felt like home. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in making guests feel valued, and it did not go unnoticed. Because of Calvin and the overall experience, I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Cambridge/Boston area. It’s the people who make a place memorable—and Calvin truly made this stay special
