Rio Perdido

Out of this world! Staff were excellent. Kind and always smiling, especially Arturo and poolside staff. Food was FRESH and delicious. Design is very thoughtful and seamlessly blends into the environment. The thermal river was nothing like we have ever experienced before. The hotel has a trail parallel to the river with various access points with different views, temperatures and depths. Saw plenty of wildlife on property-anteater, coati, armadillo and monkeys-that we casually watched from the swim up bar and dining area everyday! They were kind enough to honor Hilton gold and upgrade our room to the next level. Multiple things to do on property, including yoga, hiking, biking, zip-lining, tubing…you would not get bored for days! Cannot explain in words, you have to go there to experience it! Highly recommend!

A once in a lifetime trip! We’re not super active people but we went hiking, zip lining across the entire property and water tubing down a long river. We saw numerous different types of wildlife. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. The outdoor showers, oh my goodness the outdoor showers… 10/10, we will certainly return.

Far exceeded expectations. We kept asking ourselves if this was real, like we teleported to Jurassic Park. From monkeys to massages, volcano tour to volcanic mud mask, waterfall to hot water springs - Rio Perdido had it all. Best of all was the staff. So friendly and accommodating. If you have the chance, ask for Marvin as a tour guide - amazing. Research the resort founder and how it came to be…cool story.

This trip was a gift from A &J Malcolm. It was something I would never have picked for myself! . The white water tubing was an exciting activity. The thermal river was something I've never experienced so that was fun as well. The massages were relaxing out in open air huts. The food was top notch. I tried new foods and everything was exceptional. The staff were all so kind, friendly and accommodating! The bungalow was totally clean even though it was right in the jungle. It was so amazing to see the holler monkeys eating right outside our room. The pools were clean and relaxing. My fav was the Zip lining -it was exhilarating. Costa Rico is my daughters fav place and she is a world traveler. - I am so lucky she shared this experience with me. I loved every bit of this vacation! I would tell everyone to come here and get a real adventure and relax as well.
