Hotel Martinez

Hotel Martinez was fantastic. We had stayed in 5 star hotels in Paris and Monaco but by far Hotel Martinez was our Families favorite hotel. The staff is also fantastic as was housekeeping. We look forwward to coming back to this hotel.

We have stayed Hotel Martinez many times and have always enjoyed our stay. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are very comfortable and the entire hotel is immaculately clean. We also really enjoyed the New Year dinner and celebrations. The only complaint is that there were WAY too many dogs allowed in the hotel on this stay. They were everywhere and were quite a nuisance e.g. we were woken up most mornings by a dog barking on our floor and on some evenings when we were in our room before going out, we could hear a dog barking in the corridor. We had dinner in Le Sur on our first evening and another guest had a large dog that kept pulling on its lead and bothering guests at nearby tables. While I appreciate that pets are permitted, it is not acceptable for guests to be disturbed in this way and with such frequency. I would suggest that the hotel looks at having pet and non-pet floors and consider the size of the dogs allowed (there were a lot of very large dogs this time). All in all, a lovely stay and experience - just somewhat spoiled by so many pets!

We stayed here to celebrate New Year’s Eve and specifically chose a sea-view room to enjoy the fireworks over the Bay of Cannes—and it was simply spectacular. From the very beginning, the welcome was gracious and professional, and we were kindly upgraded from a Superior room to a beautiful suite on the 4th floor, which made the occasion feel even more special. I’ve been travelling for business for over 40 years and have stayed in many iconic luxury properties worldwide, including the Bellagio in Las Vegas. This hotel truly stands out. The quality of the room, the choice of materials, and the overall level of finish were exceptional. Every facility and service felt genuinely top-tier and thoughtfully executed. The staff were impeccably trained, confident in their roles, and consistently helpful—always present when needed, yet never intrusive. Valet service on arrival was prompt and efficient, taking care of our car smoothly and professionally. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The view was stunning, and watching the New Year fireworks from our suite was unforgettable. We will absolutely return.

A LEGEND OR A CROSSRAODS BETWEEN HERITAGE AND INDUSTRIALIZED LUXURY 5-star setting, but service consistency falls short I have stayed at the Hôtel Martinez on several occasions and appreciate its heritage and location. During my most recent stay, however, several aspects did not meet the level of consistency expected from a 5-star property — particularly regarding restaurant service, flexibility in handling requests, and overall service coherence. Management responded politely to my feedback, but the reply remained very general and did not outline concrete corrective measures. Positive elements included the breakfast quality, the renovated bar, and the professionalism of the valet team. Nevertheless, at this positioning and price level, substance and accountability matter as much as form.
