About the Hotel

The moment you arrive at Cap Maison Resort & Spa, located on the sublime island of Saint Lucia, you will feel as if you are a privileged castaway. The natural beauty and airbrushed ocean bluff setting is what makes this hideaway a true standout. The design is equal parts rustic and refined, coupled with Spanish-Caribbean flair. Behind a collection of white-washed structures are one, two and three-bedroom suites with varied floor plans that include split-level designs, spacious bedrooms and private rooftop pools. Folding doors push back to seamlessly mix the outside with the indoors. As for the views and service, both are deserving of high marks. The gardens are beautifully manicured and the secluded sandy beach, which rests several feet below, seems practically deserted even when the resort is at full capacity.

Reviews for Cap Maison

Almost Perfect

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This review is from a regular traveler—not sponsored, not comped—just someone who spent a week at Cap Maison for our honeymoon, paid full price, and left genuinely wanting to return. Here’s the honest breakdown: We stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was absolutely perfect for us. The view was stunning—panoramic ocean, lush greenery, and sunsets you’ll remember forever. We spent hours on the oversized, incredibly comfortable porch just soaking it all in. To me, this is the lowest “tier” room I would recommend staying in here, as it delivers everything you’d want from a luxury Caribbean resort. If you’re on the fence about room types, definitely go with the Junior Suite—you won’t regret it. The Good: Cap Maison is stunning. The Mediterranean-style architecture gives the resort charm and character, and the grounds are beautifully maintained with lush greenery and ocean views at every turn. The atmosphere is peaceful, romantic, and ideal for a honeymoon. The pool area is fantastic—quiet, well-designed, and surrounded by tons of comfortable seating. We spent several days lounging by the water with cocktails in hand and couldn’t have been more relaxed. We also spent a few days down at the beach, and while the stairs to get there are long, it’s 100% worth it. The beach is beautiful and private, and The Naked Fisherman beach bar is exactly what you dream of when you picture a perfect Caribbean escape—great drinks, great food, and unbeatable atmosphere. The spa deserves a special mention. My wife went three separate times and I joined her once—and every visit delivered world-class service. While the spa itself is modest in size and may look underwhelming at first glance, the staff are incredibly talented. The massages, facials, and skin scrubs were expertly done, and for my wife, this was the highlight of the trip outside of the food. If you’re even considering booking a treatment or two, do it—you won’t regret it. The Bad: The majority of service here is excellent—about 8 out of 10 interactions were exactly what you’d hope for from a high-end resort: warm, personal, and professional. But around 2 out of 10 fell short. A few staff members, both on the waitstaff and concierge side, were less attentive or responsive than expected. It didn’t define our experience, but it was noticeable in contrast to the overall high standard. One major concern: we returned to our room more than once to find the door left completely unlocked after housekeeping. While nothing was missing, it felt unacceptable at a resort of this caliber and did impact our peace of mind. Also worth mentioning—a very strange incident occurred one evening at the main restaurant. I was sitting on the bar side (where they sell cigars, provide ashtrays, and seemingly encourage smoking), staying out of the rain and seated as far as possible from the singer performing that night. A server approached and told me the entertainment had requested I stop smoking. I politely declined, as I was seated exactly where the bartender had asked me to smoke and there were only about five people in the restaurant. It was an odd and uncomfortable moment that didn’t fit the otherwise excellent atmosphere, and honestly, I still can’t make sense of it. The Ugly: The bugs can be intense. We expected some, but by the end of the week, we were spending a lot of time in our room recovering from bug bites. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it definitely put a damper on outdoor lounging. If you come, bring strong bug spray, as well as plenty of cortisone cream and use it religiously. The Great: The food and wine program here is truly world-class. Every meal was a highlight, with creative dishes, elegant plating, and flavors that genuinely impressed us. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the wine list was extensive and thoughtful. It can’t be overstated how good both restaurants are. I was also lucky enough to spend an extensive amount of time with the general manager, the sommelier, and the restaurant manager—three gentlemen with deep passion and decades of experience. They’re the kind of people you feel like you’ve known for 10 years within five minutes of conversation. Their presence and personal touch are a huge part of what makes Cap Maison feel so exceptional. Cap Maison gave us a honeymoon to remember. While no place is perfect, the exceptional elements here far outweighed the minor issues, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Best Saint Lucia Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Best hotel stay of my life and I have traveled to boutique hotels all over the country. I also am a nurse and do not like to feel “waited” on or that people are “serving” me. Staff cared about you and were attentive but it never felt forced or objectified - I can’t really put it into words. The staff cared about their work and they seemed genuinely to appreciate what they were doing. The hotel and grounds were insanely beautiful. My husband owns a landscape company so he has high standards when it comes to grounds and they were just gorgeous. Many tiny nooks and corners to relax. We purchased the Cap It All Inclusive and had the best meals!!! We loved eating on the beach at the Naked Fisherman - or the views from the Cap. We also stayed at Hotel Chocolate during our stay - If you are planning to come to Saint Lucia (this was our first time) def stay here if you can afford it and are looking at the other top resorts.

Finding Paradise!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We arrived in St. Lucia on a whim, initially settling into a humble AirB&B. Not knowing what to expect, we rented a car, unaware that not only would we be driving on the opposite side of the road, but the roads themselves were... let's just say, less than ideal. With just two days left of our five-day vacation, the four of us—my husband and our two teenage daughters—decided to take a spontaneous drive, hoping to explore the island. One wrong turn, and suddenly, we found ourselves at the gates of Cap Maison. It felt like a happy accident, a moment of pure serendipity—a hidden gem, right in front of us. We couldn’t believe our luck! Curious, we asked the security guard if we could check out the restaurant. He was incredibly kind and not only welcomed us but also personally escorted us to the Cliff Restaurant. There, we met a young woman named Deanna—I believe that was her name—and she couldn’t stop raving about how stunning the property was, how much we deserved to be there, and how everything was absolutely perfect. She was so infectious in her enthusiasm that we were instantly sold. Before we knew it, she was on the phone with the property manager, and just like that, we were booked for the last two days of our vacation at Cap Maison. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. As my daughter said, "This is the life." The rooms were beyond anything we had experienced—spacious, beautifully designed, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. The service was exceptional, each member of the team making us feel like we were the only guests there. One of the highlights of our stay was a private dinner at the Rock Maison, perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the turquoise sea. It was an unforgettable experience. Our server, Darell, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday, her high school graduation, and her upcoming college journey, all in one unforgettable evening atop the rock. Truly a moment to cherish forever. My daughter also indulged in a rejuvenating experience at the spa—and she couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. We spent a day lounging at the Naked Fisherman Beach, a secluded paradise that felt like it was just for us. The setting was tranquil and gorgeous, with crystal-clear waters and soft, white sand. Cap Maison transformed the final days of our vacation from a happy accident into an unforgettable experience, a true highlight of our time in St. Lucia. We came for an adventure, and we ended up finding paradise.

Just WOW....can't write words to say how great this place is.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Just WOW!!!....beautiful, romantic, quiet, restful, did I say beautiful...what an experience. We did the "all inclusive" and enjoyed 5-star meals 3x a day, well worth the price with premium food and drink. In addition to how perfect the resort is the people made it even better. They knew our names by the second day and always greeted us with the biggest smiles and attended to all our needs. This is not a resort if you want a party, we needed to recharge after a stressful period and this fit the bill perfectly. It was an incredible place to celebrate our 20th and my birthday...Can't say enough. BTW: If you can afford it, take the helicopter transfer to/from the airport. The ride from the airport is 2 hours....or 15 minutes in the helicopter...

Unforgettable honeymoon!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We loved staying at Cap Maison for our honeymoon! They took great care of us, upgraded us, took note of my wife’s dietary restrictions for the week and even crated a menu around what she needed and really made sure we had an enjoyable time. We would most certainly return if traveling back to St Lucia!
