The moment you arrive at Cap Maison Resort & Spa, located on the sublime island of Saint Lucia, you will feel as if you are a privileged castaway. The natural beauty and airbrushed ocean bluff setting is what makes this hideaway a true standout. The design is equal parts rustic and refined, coupled with Spanish-Caribbean flair. Behind a collection of white-washed structures are one, two and three-bedroom suites with varied floor plans that include split-level designs, spacious bedrooms and private rooftop pools. Folding doors push back to seamlessly mix the outside with the indoors. As for the views and service, both are deserving of high marks. The gardens are beautifully manicured and the secluded sandy beach, which rests several feet below, seems practically deserted even when the resort is at full capacity.

I can't think of any reason for anyone to look any further than Cap Maison when planning a visit to Saint Lucia. We just finished a week at the resort, and we couldn't have been happier. I hardly know where to start when reviewing this place. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Anywhere you walk on the property you are greeted by an assortment of colorful flowers and flowering trees. The spaces around the pools and the beach are beautiful and are generously set with chairs and loungers. Magnificent views greet you all around the resort. We enjoyed the amenities, such as the kayaking on the beach. The concierge set us up with a great private tour of northern and central Saint Lucia that lasted from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The driver/guide, Remy, was knowledgeable and a lot of fun! In fact, every staff member we encountered at Cap Maison was sincerely friendly. We stayed in room 42. It's a junior suite that was clean, comfortable, and perfect for us. The large balcony had two chairs and a table, as well as two comfortable lounge chairs. The bed was fine, bathroom large and functional, and there was a large sitting room. The walls must be pretty thick because we didn't hear a sound from the adjoining rooms. The food at Cliffs and the Naked Fisherman was truly outstanding. I especially liked the poached eggs/smoked gouda/Black Forest ham breakfast at Cliff's. The view is amazing. Naked Fisherman has the best seafood chowder I've ever had, and offers a fresh catch of the day such as Barracuda, Kingfish, and Mahi. This restaurant is on the beach, down 92 steps from the main property. You probably get where I am going with this review. We had a great time at Cap Maison and would highly recommend it.

Incredible place for a honeymoon. The staff are exceptionally helpful, I wish I could remember specific names, although they all deserve recognition. The sunset over the ocean every night was incredible. Food was amazing at the Naked Fisherman. The beach at smuggler's cove was awesome. Rooms were very comfortable, air conditioned which was a huge bonus (if like us you are from the states, you are probably used to it..). Our room had a plunge pool over looking the ocean... It was amazing! Easily accessible filtered water, provided water bottles (doesn't sound like a big deal but these came in handy). Also, I love the french press in the room for the morning coffee straight from the source! Again, thank you to all the staff, and I would highly recommend this location to anyone traveling the Caribbean. No surprise charges at the end, which is always what you want. Ross the GM was great. Will do our best to return!

A wonderful repeat visit at a superb resort. Lovely rooms and the last villa was a palace. Very clean. Outstanding staff who get it “just right” Great atmosphere at the Naked Fisherman and the Cliff The mix of guests made it extra fun this year. Weird moments, fun times. Hi Tessa and Grahame. Some lovely new staff who fit right into the CM vibe. And great to see so many long term staff here. Hello Dinah! Loved Lobster with Mac and Cheese at Cliff at lunchtime. . A firm favourite. Great sail with Dunstan who keeps me safe., The wine cellar lunch was memorable. Thanks Ross and Valine. Nice to see a resort going forwards not backwards! Thanks so much for a lovely relaxed 6 days. I can’t wait to return. Hopefully this summer.

Cap Maison is beautiful, ideal for honeymooners and people seeking a peaceful environment. Because of its fabulous location perched on the northern tip of the island, it is somewhat remote so if you're looking to hop around the island this place will be a challenge without a car. Taxis are also quite expensive with a 10 min trip to Rodney Bay costing $50 return. Golf close by at $170 per round. Zip lining is great fun, even for the over 60s and is bookable from concierge. Book boat trips in advance as these are popular. Non motorised beach activities are free but be prepared for the 92 steep steps down. A challenge for those with impaired movement. But all calories are cancelled out when you make the climb back up. It would have been really nice for the Chef to have put in an appearance at the Manager's Cocktail party or during service because he certainly needs some kudos.
