About the Hotel

The moment you arrive at Cap Maison Resort & Spa, located on the sublime island of Saint Lucia, you will feel as if you are a privileged castaway. The natural beauty and airbrushed ocean bluff setting is what makes this hideaway a true standout. The design is equal parts rustic and refined, coupled with Spanish-Caribbean flair. Behind a collection of white-washed structures are one, two and three-bedroom suites with varied floor plans that include split-level designs, spacious bedrooms and private rooftop pools. Folding doors push back to seamlessly mix the outside with the indoors. As for the views and service, both are deserving of high marks. The gardens are beautifully manicured and the secluded sandy beach, which rests several feet below, seems practically deserted even when the resort is at full capacity.

Best resort in the Caribbean! Book a suite with terrace and pool. The restaurants are superb and the views are amazing. St. Lucia is easy to get to from almost everywhere. The island is so green and unpopulated. Getting around is a chore but you really won’t want to leave Cap Maison.

The 10yr Anniversary We'll Never Forgot

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My wife and I stayed at CM for our anniversary. We had an amazing experience. They upgraded our room from a 1 bedroom suite to a 2 story villa - so from the moment we arrived, the staff immediately made us feel welcome and very special. Most of our time was spent between the pool, beach, restaurants and the villa. A little more detail on each of those... The pool overlooks the ocean providing some incredible views. Although it's not huge, it didn't matter. It never felt crowded, even though the resort was at 90% capacity. So you get a very boutique resort, quiet / calm feel. The pool sits right below the Cliff at Cap restaurant and bar. And there are a couple staff members who would occasionally come around and make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend lunch poolside. A short 5min walk away is the smugglers cove beach and The Naked Fisherman beachside restaurant and bar. Again, very intimate feel, never crowded, even though it's open to both resort guests as well as the public. They have some cabana style beds built off the back of the restaurant patio with tropical trees overhead providing nature shade. The staff there, also amazing. The water - crystal clear and perfect temperature. Just be careful, the sand gets very hot. The restaurants and culinary experience are what truly set CM apart. We opted into the all-inclusive option which included breakfast, 3 course meals for lunch and dinner, and pretty much any beverage you could think of. And there wasn't a single meal that disappointed. It was a pleasure getting to spend some time with Chef Damian who I believe is the number 2 behind exec chef Craig Jones. On the last night, we ate dinner on "The Rock", a beautiful platform deck and gazebo built on a small rock that juts out from the shore where they create a private dining experience while the sun sets. Chef Damian customized a menu for us, and it made our anniversary dinner feel extremely special. The 2500 sq ft two story villa with a rooftop pool was amazing. Despite how hot it was outside, the room was always cool and refreshing. It came with a nice living room, full kitchen, multiple walkout patios, a large bathroom with an open walkin shower, large soaker tub and double vanity, 2 large closets, and again a 600 sq ft rooftop patio with your own pool. They stock the fridge daily with beverages and snacks. Anything you needed or wanted was a simple phone call away. Lastly, I can't say enough about the staff. Every person was polite, engaging, and ready to help in any way they could. Special shoutouts to Darnell (front desk/concierge), Chef Damian, Stacey and Tyler (Cliff bar), Alison (Cliff), Taddy, Kimberly, and all of the people at the resort that made it such a memorable vacation.

Amazing hotel and staff!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Excellent service following cancellation of our flight home. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, pastries were provided on our arrival. The room was spotless and amazing!! My elderly mother was poorly with a dodgy tummy, the restaurant staff were very considerate when I told them and prepared fruit, toast and offered to make her ginger tea. When it was lunchtime they sent soup and a roll up to her room for her. The staff were amazing, I couldn’t have asked for anything more The food was very tasty

A beautiful hotel with exceptional staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

After our flight with Virgin was cancelled and a significant amount of stress, we were (very thankfully!) placed in this hotel. Although we only stayed for 1 night, the exceptional service provided was so impressive we would like to pass along our gratitude. The hotel rooms are beautiful with well considered small features which set it apart to the hotel we had stayed at previously in Rodney Bay. We found the beds very comfortable and soft. The shower and bathroom were nicely laid out. The hotel itself is very beautiful, the pools and multiple areas to rest / sit were useful. The dining area was absolutely superb. Food, both breakfast and lunch were the best meals we had on the island. All staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming, we especially would like to acknowledge a member of senior staff welcoming us at breakfast aware of our flight mishap. We would highly recommend a stay at Cap Maison and thank the team for your hospitality!

Beautiful, Quiet Resort at the peak of St. Lucia

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My spouse and I recently celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary at Cap Maison. We stayed here as part of a package (Peak to Beach) deal with the Ladera Resort in Soufrierre. If you enjoy a boutique, luxury resort atmosphere, you will enjoy this property. Rooms and Staff: We stayed in an Oceanview Room (2nd floor) with rooftop terrace/pool and the view was breathtaking. We had views of both Martinique as well as Pigeon Island from our rooftop. The villas/property were beautifully maintained and the housekeeping staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. In fact, the entire staff were friendly and made a point to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The villa shielded outside noise incredibly well; we were never disturbed by those in neighboring rooms. The bedroom itself was air-conditioned; however, the rest of the rooms in the villa were not (this is common on the island). Ceiling fans were used in non air-conditioned areas. Our kitchen/refrigerator was daily stocked with water, various sodas, beer, coffee, tea and light snacks as part of our package. Bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, bug spray and aloe spray as well as bathrobes, flip flops and other amenities. Restaurants: Cap Maison has 2 restaurants on site, the Naked Fisherman and Cliff at Cap. Naked Fisherman is down along the beach, while Cliff at Cap is located on the Cliff with the rest of the property. Service and quality at both were exceptional. Naked Fisherman is more laid back, while Cliff at Cap is more romantic/formal. We did not have a meal that was not good at either location. We also, reserved the Gazebo for a private meal with an ocean view. You are able to order from the Cliff at Cap menu when partaking in this experience. The service staff provided excellent recommendations and were quite attentive. Cliff at Cap had live music on certain evenings, which added to the ambience and was not overly loud or disruptive. Location: Cap Maison is located on a busier part of the island, near Castries/Rodney Bay/Pigeon Island. There are numerous activities, nightlife, water sports and excursions to partake in. These areas are a short 10-15 min. drive from the resort. From UVF airport to Cap Maison by car is about an 1hr 30min drive if traffic is good. The roads on the ENTIRE island are rough at times and curvy. However, you can choose to rent a water taxi or travel by helicopter to a nearby airport for arrival at the resort. Excursions: Concierge can help you with numerous excursions on the island. I highly recommend a sunset cruise if possible for a relaxing evening out on the water and to see the island from a different vantage point. Cons: *Please note that these were not necessarily cons for us, however, could be disruptive/downside to you personally. -This is not a party resort. If you are looking to engage in a more lively atmosphere that is active and loud, you will not find that here. You can however visit nearby Castries for nightlife and street parties. -The beach is accessible by a steep descent of numerous steps. If you have limited mobility, you may find it a struggle to access the beach (Smugglers Cove). This is also where the restaurant, Naked Fisherman, is located. The resort offers complimentary paddle-boards, snorkel gear and kayaks. Due to the location on the island, the water is not as placid as other parts of the island, but beautiful nonetheless. Snorkeling in the cove is ok, but you may want to choose a time of the day when you do not have to fight the waves. -The restaurants on property can be quite expensive if you eat a main course and/or have drinks with every meal. Meals/Drinks were included with our Peak to Beach experience and we noticed a 3 course dinner/drinks at Cliff at Cap + service charge typically averaged between $250-$300 for 2 people. -If you use the All-Inclusive plan, read carefully the inclusions/exclusions. They are pretty straightforward if you read the fine print, but we noticed some individuals taken by surprise and not happy with extra fees/charges. The staff are not responsible for spelling those out for you every time you sit down for a meal (nor can they probably remember if you are dining on an all-inclusive plan). Any additional charges incurred will show up on your bill upon checking out. If you are unsure of what is included during your visit, just ask! -Again, the Naked Fisherman restaurant is located on the beach which can be a steep descent down numerous steps. Do not plan on eating at this location if you struggle with mobility. -The resort is at the OPPOSITE end of the island from UVF airport. If you get sick easily on windy, mountainous roads, I recommend you consider water taxi or helicopter. I felt unwell and nauseous on arrival; so, if we are able to return, we will consider alternate transfer options. Please note, there are no excellent roads on the island (at this point we've traveled by car around the entire island). However, transfer car services/drivers recognize this and are quite attentive to their clients and drive carefully or have you sit in the front seat should you feel nauseous. Plan accordingly. Overall, if you are looking for a quiet, clean, luxurious and/or romantic getaway, I recommend you visit Cap Maison. Consider what type of room, ambience, amenities are important to you and plan accordingly.
