Built as a private villa on the Italian island of Capri, Punta Tragara has played a pivotal role in American and European history. During World War II it served as the American Command headquarters hosting such famous dignitaries as General Eisenhower and Sir Winston Churchill. In 1968 it was transformed into an elegant hotel by Count Manfredi. With just 42 rooms and suites, you will feel more like the guest of a gracious host. Each stunning space is filled with elegant furnishings and a tapestry of rich appointments. Stunning garden or seascape views can be seen from you guestroom window. Modern conveniences and amenities are equally plentiful.

We stayed at this beautiful gem for our Anniversary! It was the best romantic place we could imagine, our terrace was overlooking Faraglioni and Capri - amazing! The service was extremely high level and all the staff welcoming and attentive! 3 days wonderful experience in Paradise!

The service provided by the Hotel began right at the point we got off the Ferry from Amalfi. We were met my Ricardo, he took our bags and we were escorted to a waiting taxi which took us to the main square. We walked to the Hotel from the square after having lunch and were greeted by the front desk staff who were friendly, helpful, and most importantly smiling and cheerful. The high level os service continued for our entire stay. The breakfast was excellent as was the food we had by the pool at lunch and dinner. The room was excellent, we had a full view of the Marina Piccolo and a balcony that we could sit on and relax. We had an early Ferry to Naples and even though the breakfast area was not open we were accomodated without any issues, we were even offered food to take with us which was part of the excellent experience we had at Punta Tragera.

Best vacation ever! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TRULY AMAZING!!!! I was online for weeks checking reviews and looking for the best hotel to stay at and was having trouble deciding between Punta Tragara, Quisisana and a few other top hotels. Let me say, I did not regret our choice! Even though the others are beautiful, the views at the Tragara are the best on the entire island by far! The food is elite at the two incredible restaurants and we had two free dinners as part of our package. An amazing 5 star complementary breakfast every single morning. But here’s the most special part of the entire vacation! The staff, and I mean the entire staff, including the front desk and Maintenance are the most friendly and most accommodating people you will ever encounter. They truly are here to provide an amazing experience and just adds that extra touch that made this the most unforgettable vacation we’ve ever been on! So much so that we’re looking forward to coming back again in the summer ❤️Punta Tragara We will miss the amazing staff at the restaurant, Elena, Luciana and Luigi, thank you for making our vacation an incredible and unforgettable experience. You will Be missed😘 #See you again soon! 🔜

Firstly, let me start by explaining that you must walk 20 minutes from the center of town to arrive at this hotel. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this “luxury” hotel room was such a disappointment I feel compelled to warn others. The photos online promised light-filled, stylish accommodations – what I walked into looked nothing like that. The room was dark, and dingy, outdated furniture that looked like it hadn’t been replaced. The lighting was so poor letting in virtually no natural light. We were brought to our room and within 10 minutes of being in the room called the front desk to let them know that the room was unacceptable and not as described. The woman said “is it because it’s too dark?” I told her the room was dark and dingy. There was a small pain window, even though this was supposed to be an ocean suite. She told me this was the last room. They had no under their abilities until our final day where they could locate the same room in a different area of the hotel. The room was not as advertised. not a luxury hotel a dark dingy room with barely a view and not somewhere I would personally want to stay in Capri for $2800 per night. We spoke with the manager who was unaccommodating and let us know He would not be refunding us, even though we would not be staying at the hotel and immediately checking out. he offered no solution. The biggest insult is the bait-and-switch advertising that bear no resemblance to reality. If you’re looking for comfort, style, or anything remotely close to luxury, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. This hotel trades on false promises and delivers a dark, dreary nightmare. What a welcome to Capri.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. The dinner we had at Le Monzu was incredible. For some.rwason in this 1440 s.f. suite, there are no shelves in the bathroom and no hooks in the closet or near the door for jackets and bags. We had a friend send us cake and sparklin wine for our anniversary, which was incredible. The chocolate almond cake was delicious. But....housekeeping took the remaining half of the cake away the morning after. When we asked why, they said it was because of "appearences". They brought us another cake at 2pm that day (yesterday). We barely had 2 slices and that night, housekeeping removed it AGAIN! I am SO pissed off.
