Fairmont El San Juan Hotel

My husband and I traveled to Puerto Rico for a family reunion to celebrate our parents 50th year anniversary! The experience was marvelous, we enjoyed the ambience, the music, the service, but more importantly the warm and care of every staff member of the hotel that we had the pleasure to o interact. The manager Fabio Diaz was generous and kind, and made sure that everyone was having a great time. The bands were amazing, profesional and charismatic, also DJ JAV. The appetizers and drinks were outstanding!

I want to share a great experience my wife and I had this past weekend. We went to the El San Juan Lobby and Chico Cabaret and found that the Manager, Fabio Diaz, who knew we were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary…had put together a lovely balloon arrangement for everyone to be aware! Amazing! So generous! We enjoyed the band, the DJ JAV, and the marvelous people who congratulated us! It’s a place to go as often as you can!

Extremely disappointing stay. Service was painfully slow, the bartender was rude and offered no recommendations, and hotel staff ignored a car accident in the parking lot! ‼️Calls for assistance were hung up repeatedly! I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

I just got back from spending five days at the Fairmont El San Juan Hotel and it was exactly what I needed! The minute I walked in, I could feel myself starting to relax. The lobby has this gorgeous dark wood and classic elegance that immediately makes you feel like you're somewhere special. The location, you can't beat it - right on Isla Verde Beach (which has won awards, by the way) and super close to the airport. As a solo traveler, that proximity was clutch. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff at the front desk were so welcoming. Plus, my package came with breakfast included and one free night, which was an amazing bonus! My room had this incredible view overlooking both pools, the beach, and the ocean. Watching the sunset from there? Absolutely stunning. The beach itself was gorgeous - soft sand and that beautiful turquoise water was something to live for. It was perfect for just lounging and or taking a swim. The resort has a casino (it's not huge, but nice to have on-site), multiple restaurants, and even a little store if you need anything. But honestly, what made my stay special was the people. Everyone from housekeeping to management was so friendly and helpful. There was this one bartender at the pool who gave me restaurant recommendations that totally made my trip even better. Breakfast was really good - the fresh fruit was amazing and they make your omelet right there how you want it. Tips to know before you arrive: -Seriously, the airport is SO close - just a quick uber ride -Make time to visit Old San Juan if you can, it's full of history and beautiful architecture -Talk to the staff, especially the bar tenders about where to eat, they know all the good local spots -There's a CVS and grocery store within blocks which comes in handy - Several resturants are near by the resort As I reflect on my solo trip, The Fairmont El San Juan has this great mix of old-school elegance and modern comfort, plus that genuine Puerto Rican warmth and hospitality. Whether you want to chill by the pool all day or explore the island, it's a perfect home away from home. I will return, no doubt!

Love this place, enjoy the bar in the lobby. Had fun in the casino and the pool area had a water slide even adults can use and I was able to participate in a morning aerobics class. Great experience overall. Most of all all of the staff in the hotel were professional, friendly, and they always served you with a happy smile.
