If I could give the staff at Hotel Bennett more than five stars, I would! The hospitality here is truly one for the books. Best early birthday gift for myself! Andrew, from the valet team, remembered my name from the moment I stepped foot into the hotel until the time I checked out. I’m not sure what his next step is, but he definitely deserves a promotion; he truly went above and beyond! Mia is the FACE and personality of the hotel, she deserves recognition, future GM or AGM! I watched her at the front desk handle a guest who was unhappy with their room. She was quick to respond and provided a solution that left everyone happy. Taylor (I believe that was her name) in the King’s Club was such a sweet lady. She took the time to take a few photos for me and gave me excellent recommendations for local spots to visit. This is one of the best hotel stay ever and they treat everyone, equally!!!!!!!

We traveled from Los Angeles to Charleston and have stayed at our fair share of luxury hotels, but the experience Kevin provided was on an entirely different level. Kevin is pure high-energy brilliance. His enthusiasm for Charleston is contagious, and he didn’t just point us toward the standard tourist spots or restaurant recommendations—he opened doors to the city’s soul. He took us on an unforgettable walk through the oldest, most hidden sections of Charleston—places most visitors will never even know exist. We were guided through: • Secret alleyways and quiet courtyards that felt completely tucked away from the modern world. • Stunning hidden fountains and incredible old trees that make you feel like you've stepped back into the 1700s. • Historic neighborhoods with homes that have been so perfectly preserved, it feels like the past is still alive. Because of Kevin, we captured photos and saw views that you simply cannot find on your own. You need someone who truly understands the heartbeat of this city, and Kevin is that person. This was easily one of the most special experiences we’ve had on any trip. Bottom line: Don't just settle for a map. Meet Kevin. He doesn't just give advice; he provides a masterclass in the "real" Charleston. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our time in Charleston, and Hotel Bennett was the perfect place to stay. The location truly can’t be beat—everything is within walking distance, which made it so easy to explore the city. What really made our trip exceptional, though, was Kevin McQuade, one of the concierges. Kevin went above and beyond in helping us plan our itinerary and recommending restaurants, and every single suggestion was outstanding. It was so refreshing to see someone truly enjoy what they do and take so much pride in it. Some highlights: Felix – hands down the best avocado toast I’ve ever had The Ordinary and Chez Nous – both exceptional dinners Raw 167 – fun atmosphere and great food Drinks at the new Hotel Cooper – absolutely gorgeous and a must-visit Kevin didn’t just give recommendations—he genuinely enhanced our entire experience. Our favorite part of the trip was the evening tour he took us on around Charleston. Seeing the city at night—the stunning landscaping, the quiet alleys beautifully lit—was completely different from the daytime and so memorable. We’re so grateful he took the time to show us around and even capture photos for us. Charleston itself is such a charming, character-filled city, and between the incredible food, beautiful weather, and thoughtful planning, this trip exceeded all expectations. We can’t say enough great things about our stay at Hotel Bennett, but what truly set it apart was the personalized service from Kevin. He made our trip feel special from start to finish. We’ll absolutely be back!

My adult daughter and I visited Charleston for the first time and started our trip at this property. We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff at every point of our arrival (valet, bell hop, front desk/check-in, concierge). The concierge on staff was Kevin, and he offered us dinner reservation assistance, tour bookings, and even reservations and suggestions for our time in Beaufort and Savannah. He had a stash of helpful maps he has created that he kindly shared with us to ease our explorations. The day after we checked in was Easter, and he secured us brunch reservations at Slightly North of Broad (S.N.O.B.) which ended up being our favorite meal of the trip. He is very knowledgeable and well-connected, and obviously takes pleasure in helping guests enjoy their experiences in Charleston and surrounding areas. Our room was very nice, and also clean, with a view of the church across the street. It was smaller than we would have preferred, but we booked at the last minute and know they have bigger rooms available (I think we were lucky to get the last one!). Hannah was extremely helpful with our bags at check out, and another concierge, Aubrey, went above and beyond helping us get cash we needed for a tour when we had no debit card with us. From check-in to check-out, every employee we encountered was very helpful and exuded the true Southern hospitality we have always heard about.
