One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! From the moment we pulled up to the valet until we left 3 days later, the staff was outstanding, anticipating our needs and requests and then following up quickly. Special recognition to butlers David and Darryl. Both were excellent, highly responsive, very personable and professional. Great balance of how to treat guests to feel important without being "stuffy" or robotic. Also loved the Bar at Spectator as the bartender and staff were excellent! Best service we have ever experienced at any hotel!

As an 80 year old who has traveled extensively around the world, the spectator hotel is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever visited. The entire staff made us feel so welcome that we intend to make it our “go to” hotel on our annual trip from Florida to the N.C. Mtns. and back. Everything about the ‘Spectator” was exceptional from the moment we pulled up to the front door.

This hotel's attention to personalized details is luxurious!! From the spacious rooms, fluffy beds, free snacks and drinks, to the amazing cocktail lobby bar, The Spectator is top tier. Michelle knew we were taking a tour and she got us a walking map, and, wait for it, highlighted the route for us. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every morning and we sampled a thimble-sized yummy liqueur nightcap, on the house, every night. The mixologist in the cocktail lobby bar was very knowledgeable and the super sweet server made us feel right at home. We've stayed in many recognizable hotels and this meets that and goes beyond with its personalized service and attention to detail. Definitely coming back.

My husband and I stay at the Spectator Hotel whenever we go to Charleston (which is at least 10 times per year). We love this hotel! The rooms are great and the service is wonderful. It's a great location in the heart of the city. The staff is extremely friendly and treat us like VIP's. Just this week, we stayed a night celebrating my husband's birthday and were surprised with balloons and a delicious cake in our room. We love cocktails in the bar, which is cozy and quiet.
