Ya there are reasons people stay here and I know what they are ... none of them come close to being worth spending time you'll never get back at this pretentious stuffy anti-social building. If you're into networking it's the opposite. Everything here is a big deal...I do mean everything. The staff don't know how to act & behave like everything they do is a magic trick or requires some esoteric insight. Some of the dumbest people I've ever seen. I've been to many other ritz carlton's and haven't seen one like this. If someone covered my stay here I would out-of-pocket go somewhere else, it's that bad. If you must go check it out because of the location and it being the only 5 star rated hotel in the city ...If you must get it out of your system go only one night and get the hell out . It's sad there are places like this ...There didn't used to be.

It’s not like any Ritz I have stayed before. Staff nice but it’s more like an upscale Marriot not RC. Had to wait in lobby 7 hours for a room, which while waiting no accommodations. Room was ok not really very pretty just felt more Marriot. Dining is not all that. Service doesn’t have the same language, no turn down service offered, room was pitch black upon arrival had to call front desk to figure out how to turn on lamps

Staff were very friendly and professional but significantly under supported in FTEs and supplies/materials/food. The facility is in need of major renovation due to outdated, uncomfortable, and dirty furniture in the lounging areas and floors. The Punch, a well-appointed speakeasy on the 15th floor, was a nice retreat from the dilapidated rooms and main lobbies...definitely worth a visit. I wouldn't recommend nor will I be staying again.

Love visiting the spa at the Ritz the employees are very nice. I really liked my massage though the room was pretty cold. And unfortunately I was dissatisfied with my facial. She was very nice but I felt as though my skin looked worse afterwards and it wasn’t anything special, I suggest asking if extractions are wanted beforehand.

The team at the Charlotte location went ABOVE and beyond for us. We missed our connecting flight to Jamaica and ended up stuck for a full day in Charlotte. Their team took amazing care of us and even gifted us some water bottles to take with us on our trip! They felt our stress and did everything to alleviate it. Truly a Ritz experience through and through
