The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu

Although the hotel has been around for some time, it is still an old-fashioned luxury five-star hotel with mostly online hardware and software. As soon as you enter, there are staff members helping to carry your luggage until it is delivered to your room; When waiting for check-in, there are various types of tea drinks available for tasting; Robert Li, who helped me check in, fully coordinated the cleaned room to move in as soon as possible, while also paying full attention to the living experience, answering all questions and responding quickly; During the Loong Boat Festival, the Little Lion backpack Zongzi set meal launched by the hotel is also very cute. I bought it for my friends' children and liked it very much; Finally, I would like to highlight my breakfast. My favorite latte coffee is the panda latte, and I drank two cups of coffee in a row for this panda. In addition, there is a Sichuan style sausage Danish roll that is also very special, and the bread slices paired with brew cheese are also excellent (the glass jar with the bread slices next to the cheese). Overall, I like it very much, and I will choose to stay again next time. If there is a little souvenir, it will be even warmer

We had a perfect stay at The Ritz Carlton Chengdu with an executive room and lounge access. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The check in was smooth and welcoming. The staff throughout the hotel were professional and kind. Breakfast offered great variety and quality. The executive lounge was a peaceful retreat with excellent service. Our room was spacious clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon. 10 out of 10 experience.

Love this hotel; at this point we’d like to consider it a safety harbor and some there friends to us. Related info for future travelers: 1. Facility: the hotel, rooms and all facilities is certainly one of the best and up par amongst its class. This hotel in Chengdu, particularly, is into the details and absolutely beautiful. 2. Food, beverages and quality: have you been to the hotel bar? Quite a stunning setup inside and out! Great food choices and quality for the breakfast. Special thanks to head chef Chris for the breakfast lounge - motivated and skilled. I tried several specially made accommodating dishes! 👍 I do not have good luck comparing mixology in China with the US; maybe I have not found the right place. 3. The People: I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff I met - lobby, breakfast lounge, spa, swimming pool, room services… and certainly not least, the executive lounge. I cannot thank and remember them more: the warmth and care many exhibited. *When my mom really liked a wooden salad serving spoon one morning, the floor manager at breakfast he did not only checked on where we could buy it but added WeChat ensuring we get the links. She (mom) is now very happy with two spoons I got for her - as a “small” example. 4. The Executive Club: At this point, I don’t know what to say anymore. We love the lounge; consider some our friends even 😎. I would probably go on and on about how into details they are, how upscale they are, how relaxing it is to be there and the view is stunning. Instead, I’d summarize and only make two points: A/ make sure you learn about they just-about-all-day executive club servicing; this is quite unique and I dare say, quite worth the up charge. B/ Hasnain and his team there will deliver nothing but warmth and professionalism. 🫡 Have a good and safe trip when you visit Chengdu, China and whenever you travel! With best regards!

Recently returned from a wonderful stay at the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu. I got a good first impression right from my dealings with the reservations & concierge team (especially Jamie in reservations and Evan on the concierge desk) who answered all of my emails promptly and efficiently in very good English. Our airport pick-up was smooth, and we were greeted at the hotel entrance by the Guest Services team, who gave us refresher towels and tea. Cherry in particular was excellent and completed all the check-in formalities in our room. We had booked a King City View Suite and it was massive. Classically and luxuriously appointed, there was a spacious entry hall, huge living area with dining table, sofa and armchairs, and we also had a rollaway bed set up in there - and still felt like we had so much space! There was also a small washlet with toilet and basin. Leading off from there was a closet/powder room and then the huge master bedroom with equally large marble bathroom. The bathroom had a separate toilet cubicle (with Toto toilet), a gigantic vanity with twin basins and ample storage space underneath, a large bath and separate shower cubicle. I loved the pale marble and the natural light coming in from all the windows (there were motorised shades for privacy). The king bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable and in general I loved how much space there was throughout the entire suite, not to mention the numerous floor-to-ceiling windows that allowed a lot of light in. We tried the room service for breakfast and dinner several times, and both the Western and Asian options were all excellent. Good quality and good serves. Every staff member who came to deliver it was very professional and friendly. Each night there would be a turndown service with generous bowls of chocolate made using Sichuan ingredients. And on our last night they even delivered a large panda dessert made of white chocolate. I would particularly like to mention Mamie, who came several nights and was very friendly and kind. The entire hotel, from the lobby to the corridors and the rooms themselves, is spotless, and housekeeping is meticulous. In terms of location, it is a few blocks from Tianfu Square, which are easily walkable, but we ended up using Didi to get everywhere we needed to go. There is apparently also a metro about a 10-minute walk away but we did not use it. In summary, we had a wonderful stay at the Ritz Carlton Chengdu. It offered exceptional value for 5-star luxury. Top service, great staff, immaculate property. Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Chengdu.
