Located in the heart of Chengdu, just moments from the city’s cultural landmarks and bustling commercial districts, The Ritz‑Carlton Chengdu stands as a modern symbol of refined luxury. Since opening in 2013, the hotel has been celebrated for its exceptional service and has earned the prestigious Five Diamond award, underscoring its commitment to world‑class hospitality. Rising from the 23rd to the 41st floor of a sleek commercial tower, the property offers 353 beautifully appointed rooms and suites that blend contemporary elegance with the timeless sophistication for which The Ritz‑Carlton is known. During my stay, I enjoyed one of the One Bedroom Suites on the 31st floor, a spacious 105‑square‑meter retreat with sweeping views over the city and exclusive access to the Ritz‑Carlton Club Lounge. The suite opens with a small foyer leading into a combined living and dining area, complemented by a bedroom with a walk‑in closet and a marble bathroom filled with natural light. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with fresh fruit and one of the hotel’s signature cakes, and throughout my stay I was delighted by thoughtful gestures, while twice‑daily housekeeping ensured a consistently pristine environment. The suite’s amenities included two flat‑screen TVs, an audio system, a Nespresso machine with tea‑making facilities, complimentary bottled water, central lighting and privacy controls, and free Wi‑Fi. The marble bathroom was a highlight, featuring dual vanities, a bathtub with a mirror‑embedded TV, a rain shower overlooking Chengdu’s skyline, and a secluded Japanese toilet with its own washbasin, all enhanced by luxurious Diptyque toiletries. Floor‑to‑ceiling windows throughout the suite created a bright, welcoming atmosphere and offered captivating views of the vibrant city below. Breakfast at SPICES, the hotel’s international all‑day dining restaurant, was generous and varied, featuring freshly baked pastries, dim sum, noodle soups, eggs made to order, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, yogurts, cereals, pancakes, and a wide selection of Asian specialties. The only minor drawback was the absence of freshly pressed orange juice and à la carte options, though the friendly and attentive service more than compensated. The 38th‑floor Ritz‑Carlton Club Lounge provided an exclusive retreat with panoramic city views, personalized service, and complimentary culinary presentations throughout the day. Club breakfast offered a more private atmosphere with a refined buffet and simple egg dishes prepared to order. Afternoon tea featured sweet delights, scones, and savory bites paired with TWG tea or freshly brewed coffee, while evenings brought alcoholic beverages and canapés resembling a small dinner buffet, complemented by two freshly prepared à la carte dishes from the chef — often including a pasta of the day. The charming panda‑themed coffee art added a delightful touch. Beyond the lounge, the Lobby Lounge and adjoining bar offered an elegant setting for afternoon tea, light bites, cocktails, and fine wines. The hotel’s spa, state‑of‑the‑art fitness center, and spacious indoor pool with panoramic views and an underwater sound system provided a perfect balance of wellness and relaxation. With attentive service, refined culinary offerings, outstanding facilities, and a prime location ideal for both business and leisure, The Ritz‑Carlton Chengdu stands out as one of the city’s most compelling luxury hotels - a place where comfort, elegance, and thoughtful hospitality come together seamlessly.

Everything was to the highest standard from the service quality to the food provided in the breakfast and dinner buffet. Unlimited alcoholic drinks & the best seafood, sashimi for a very friendly price. The location of the hotel is also great, sitting in the center of the city. I would like to thank the helpfulness of the staff members of the Hotel with highlighting the professionalism of Ray, helping us enjoy our stay.

Dear Ryan Ran Me, Pedro Dionisio and my wife Silvia are world travellers and are very used to five stars and luxury hotels. We stayed in Ritz Carlton Hotel Chengdu from 4-6th December. Check in was quick and efficient. All the staff very polite, attentive and always ready to help us. The room was very beautiful and well equipped. Good amenities (a Nespresso machine in the room😋). The breakfast was really amazing, and delicious. To Note: my wife forgot inside the room some valuable things and quickly the staff ( House keeper, Duty manager and concierge) solved the problem very efficiently communicating with us, filming the items and sending them by express mail, with insurance included to the hotel we will be staying next city in China. Really impressive… my wife will be always grateful with the staff🙏!!! Chengdu is not only “the Panda City “ with lots of things to see and to do! With lots of luxury Hotels…We are sure we will come back! To the fantastic Ritz-Carlton Chengdu of course… Best wishes Pedro Dionisio

A well-located and comfortable hotel with nice service and a pleasant interior. The breakfast selection was good. The only thing that bothered me was that one guest put food back onto the buffet after taking it on her personal plate. It was quite off-putting, and after seeing that, I didn’t feel like taking food from that section anymore. The staff member saw it happen, and I expected them to remove the food she had returned, but they did nothing. All of it remained there for other guests to discover. That was the only downside. Also, there were very few Christmas decorations. In my opinion, the hotel could create a much stronger holiday atmosphere by adding more festive decor — perhaps they simply hadn’t had time to do it yet.

->Area and Surroundings: The hotel is very well located just across happening main square of Chengdu. The area has so many bars and restaurants. Its one of the finest areas of Chengdu. ->Room: We were upgraded to a room on the 41st floor (Topmost) which offered us great views of the city. The room had a comfortable double bed with all electrical controls on both sides of the bed. One thing I notice that at all places the power plug points provided were all international type and hence made it comfortable to use our gadgets without a need of an adapter. The bedside socket also had USB and Type C ports for direct charging. The room also had a comfortable working desk with two chairs for getting your business sorted as and when required. Right next to it was a sofa setup wherein you can grab a good book or lay around to have good views outside your room. The room was very artistically designed and had all modern amenities like a capsule coffee machine, a water kettle, a safety box and bar glasses. ->Bathroom and Bathing experience: The bathroom had a very palatial feel to it. It had a two sink arrangement which makes it easy and hygienic to share it with your partner. The WC had a sperate frosted glass enclosure so that the bathroom can be used by your partner while the WC area is still busy. Also the bathing area had its own glass enclosure. Bathing water pressure and temperature was perfect. The water tub in the room was an icing on the cake to unwinding entire days tiredness by soaking yourself in the same. ->Hotel Staff: Extremely polite, welcoming, interactive and warm. ->Breakfast: The breakfast spread was fantastic and had lots of options. Being vegetarian for me the choices were limited, but still had managed with some tweaking. ->Swimming Pool / Gym / Spa: Due to lack of time, I did not got the opportunity to visit it. ->Special mention: Wifi speed was good. The entire hotel had many places and terraces to sit and relax.
