The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu

Stayed a few nights here… this hotel has the aesthetics my mom prefers ( to W). Personally I prefer a more traditional and soothing decor as well. Special mention to the ultra attentive staff Luca and Leon. The staff makes a real difference to the stay. Luca is always first to sense you need help. He is super approachable and fluent in mandarin. I left my WeChat with him in case my mom needs to look for me. He was so accommodating. He gave some interesting places to visit not commonly found on the web. Leon was the one who checked me in. He was very warm and detailed. He suggested going to Chen Mapo after we checked to avoid the massive queue… great idea indeed. Facility wise: The gym is very well equipped and spacious . The pool attendant is very on the ball to keep an eye on the safety of the lone swimmer 👍🏽. It was nice to spend time exercising then relaxing in the jacuzzi after a week of intensive walking.

I spent a delightful two-day one-night stay here during this year's Spring Festival. The swimming pool was my absolute favorite—the underwater music was incredibly wonderful and relaxing. A special thank you to Luca for his care and service throughout my stay! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu over the Chinese New Year holiday was wonderful. Thank you to Luca Spatafora for his helpful tour and sightseeing recommendations—his professionalism left a strong impression. We appreciated the hotel’s cleanliness and the courteous staffs. The food at Lai Heen was excellent; we especially enjoyed the 花膠黃魚羹. It’s definitely worth returning.

We just spent 7 nights in this hotel and absolutely loved it. The hotel itself was fantastic, but the real heroes were the staff. Even the cleaners always had a cheery smile and greeting. But special mention to Luca and Ryan who made a big effort to make sure our stay was a pleasurable one. Chengdu itself was a fantastic city, and the hotel well located. We will be back. David

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu for the second time, and honestly, it was even better than our first visit. From the moment we checked in, everything just felt smooth and effortless. The staff are not only professional, but genuinely kind and welcoming – it never feels forced, just very natural and thoughtful. What really stood out to us was their willingness to go the extra mile. They helped us arrange sending a package, and when we had an early trip planned and couldn’t make breakfast, they prepared a takeaway breakfast for us. It’s these little things that make a big difference. Overall, everything worked perfectly and the level of service is truly top-notch. This has become one of our favorite hotels, and we already know we’ll be coming back again.
