Lovely end to my Thailand trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed January 12, 2020

Stayed here for my last few nights in Thailand, and after staying in basic huts most of my stay this was an amazing upgrade and couldn't believe how cheap the room was! Clean, central and the pool just completed it. As I was leaving I told the staff I was going to the airport, and as it was a national holiday and the taxis were sparse that day one member of staff drove me there!

The worst accommodation I've ever booked in my entire online booking life. The staffs are hostile.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed October 17, 2019

We went there excited since we thought it is, what it is in the picture. It is OK if it wasnt that really good they way it was shown in agoda but at least decent enough. When we arrive an not so friendly fat staff who seemed like talking to a person not a guest told aš right away about the problem. It was good she was honest to direct tly say, "our rooms have so many problems, the upper floors where all under renovation", if you have that why not post it online so that no one will already booked first while youre in renovation. Added an insult to injury the staff at night was different, when we ask someone something a hostile staff who looks like a thug replied to us like as if he was just dealing with a buyer of fish in the market. He was told by the other guy to back off and told the he felt sorry since that guy who entertained us at the very beginning was a internet support technician not even a hotel staff let alone a house keeper. The pool is dirty, if youelr room has breakfast expect the following choices : 1.2fried egg with butter and breas 2.scrambled egg with bread and butter 3.boiled rice with chicken. Lavatory is clog. Rooms smell like termite and cockcroach Surroundings are delapidated. The other hotel staff said, šir go tell your reviews honestly because the hotel owner was told already about these problem but he wasnt even listening, in other words "fall unto deaf ears".

Bedbugs, filthy and rude staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed July 25, 2019

Luckily we only booked one night as we were passing through Chiang Mai. We stayed in the hostel part of Glur. After checking in and leaving our bags in the room we went out for dinner. As we had an early morning we came home and went straight to bed around midnight but after half an hour in bed I started feeling “things” crawling around. I switched on the lights and there were bedbugs everywhere. Small ones and really big ones. On the walls, in the bed, on the curtains. We were moved to the room next door and asked by the night staff to check the room for bedbugs ourselves. We found lots of dead ones in the second bedroom but no alive ones and as it was already 1.30 we decided to move to this room as we had to get up at 7am. We didn’t get much sleep as you can probably imagine. The overall condition of both rooms was disgusting. Bathroom had mould and stains everywhere. You could tell the only real cleaning done there was the change of the bin liner once a day. The rooms had black long hairs everywhere, was dusty and had leftover belongings from previous guests and squished dead bedbugs and mosquitos on the walls. The sheets were stained by sweat, blood and other sorts. DO NOT STAY AT GLUR HOSTEL, You can definitely get a better bang for your buck.

Convenient location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed February 28, 2019

Just located on the other side of the iron bridge, five minutes walk from night bazaar. Room is a bit dated and worn down. Bed is quite comfortable. Simple breakfast is included. Swimming pool is a little dirty. The receptionist girl, Fah, had been very helpful.

Nice hotel with charm

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed February 11, 2019

Nice hotel, charm and personnality, well positionned (close to center, but not too close so more quiet !) Breakfast and "bar" are disappointing though: breakfast is 4 dishes not really great, bar is like never opened. But pricing is fair
