Ace Hotel Chicago, located in the historic Fulton Market district, has a quirky, modern, industrial feel. The rooms and hallways have exposed concrete and unfinished wood. This styling gives the appearance of a revamped old space despite Ace Hotel Chicago being a newly constructed building. The City Mouse is the hotel signature restaurant named for the high-risk/high-reward Aesopian rodent, averts the country mouse's objections, through crafty food, modest prices and a leisurely atmosphere. The rooftop bar, Waydown is famous for its craft beer, cocktails and small plates.

Location was good. Room was disappointing - small bathroom sink with only 1 mirror - hard for a couple to share when getting ready for a wedding. Limited storage space and no decent lounge chair. Dinner on Friday (chicken sandwich) was inedible. Saturday night there was a problem with the A/C in 3 rooms. The Engineer came up right away and got it working. He left and 15 minutes later it broke again. He came back and we noticed that the air filter to the unit was filthy. Front desk offered to move us to another room but it was after midnight and we had 2 rooms (family) next to each other. The excuse for the lack of a/c was due to weather. Both of our rooms and another friend’s room (different floors) had no a/c. There were some other friends that had no problems with their A/C - so the excuse of weather did NOT ring true. Staff was pleasant and apologized but I would not stay here again! The room was very stuffy without any air flowing. Opening a window to get fresh air just allowed the noise from traffic and the train (a block away) to keep us awake the remainder of the night. It was a toasty 73 degrees - not ideal sleeping temp.

Had the best time at the Emily hotel! Demetrius went above and beyond to help us with our check-in process. His service was top-notch. The troom had a comfortable bed. It was clean. Enjoyed the shower. Couldn’t ask for a better location. I would definitely stay at the Emily again.

Our stay at The Emily Hotel was perfect. We had an 18 hour layover in Chicago and snagged a great last minute rate. The hotel was in the Fulton Market District one block off of Fulton which is loaded with great restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and so comfortable! We love the industrial design, the well stocked mini bar, plush towels and robes and great bathroom products! We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Chicago and this is now one of our favorites if not our favorite stay! Great coffee shop downstairs as well. Definitely coming back.

Staff was very accommodating with a complication with the booking. Room was clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.
