Fairmont Chicago’s new design catapulted it to the top of hotel options in The Loop, Chicago’s business and theater district that’s home to many of the city’s cultural attractions. Past an opulent gold-hued lobby awaits a collection of guest rooms dressed in a natural color palette of cream, chocolate and mossy green highlighted by a bold floral print from Warwick Orme. Marble baths come with a separate rainfall shower and soaking tub, and for further relaxation, the spa offers couples’ soaks in a sumptuous suite.

We decided to make our visit to Chicago in April to celebrate our wedding anniversary and chose to stay at the Fairmount Hotel at Millennium Park. This is a great hotel to stay in this beautiful city. It’s strategically situated between the Millennium Park and the downtown commercial district. The accommodations and the services were high end and top tier.

Experience Fairmont Gold! Worth the extra money! Lounge, customer service and room are all excellent. GM Tim cares about your experience and goes above and beyond to exceed your expectations. The only hiccup seems to be getting Uber drivers to pick you up at the right location. Obviously not the hotels fault.

Just spent six days at the renowned Fairmont. Great location. Great new restaurant (Toro) installed since last spring. The staff is good: bellhops great, cleaning staff crack, concierge above average, front desk mediocre. The layout (that can’t be changed) is poor, with truly hidden elevators. If attending a conference, try to use elevators during off-peak times. Spa (Leaf) was very nice. Workout area was okay: clean, smell was okay, filtered water, yet in a tight space in the basement (B1). My issue is with the lack of updating the interior, of hallways, rooms and generally visible areas. It’s dirty. Carpets are dirty. Floor modeling is dirty. Rooms look tired and need new paint with updated colors. Bed was okay, but needs new mattress. Bathroom was fine, yet water pressure sucked (30+ floor), and could be freshened. To use a friend’s expression (former Chicago native): it’s become hairy. Bottom line: to charge what competitors we’ve stayed at in the heart of the loop, the Fairmont needs more updating than a new restaurant. Will stay in another hotel next spring.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Fairmont. The staff is exceptional, from the moment we stepped in. The Gold lounge service was absolutely wonderful, First Class hospitality . It was so nice to be greeted each morning by the sweetest dear lady who remembered just how we liked our coffee! It’s the little things. We look forward to returning .

La atención excelente desde el front desk, housekeeping y el desayuno en el restaurante del primer piso (reservamos una oferta que incluía desayuno de Visa). La habitación era muy cómoda, grande, llena de detalles desde las batas hasta sacacorchos. Espero volver!
