Fairmont Chicago’s new design catapulted it to the top of hotel options in The Loop, Chicago’s business and theater district that’s home to many of the city’s cultural attractions. Past an opulent gold-hued lobby awaits a collection of guest rooms dressed in a natural color palette of cream, chocolate and mossy green highlighted by a bold floral print from Warwick Orme. Marble baths come with a separate rainfall shower and soaking tub, and for further relaxation, the spa offers couples’ soaks in a sumptuous suite.

Horrendous hotel, avoid at all costs — dated fixtures, dated rooms, WiFi that didn’t work half the time, air conditioning that did not work at all. No security — literally anyone can walk in and access any floor of the hotel and the front desk will not stop them. No complementary water. Obscene price gouging. Only positive: the housekeeping staff was excellent and kind. The hotel should be avoided at all costs.

Absolutely first rate experience. Five minutes walk to the best breakfast Wildberries.. Walk to the mile. We r seniors so we ubered alot. The staff at the front of the hotel Valet were so great Gave us a fond farewell when we left for the day. Always a hello when we retuned after a very busy day. Please stay here the rooms are great . Very up to date furnished hotel...

I booked my stay thru the Chase Travel Edit Stay. The lobby area was fine, but I don’t really spend time there. The staff at this hotel really shine. Every staff member greeted me and asked about my stay, great job. Where the hotel could use improvement is in the hotel itself. My room felt dated and well, basic (not even a bag for dirty laundry). Never received additional Nespresso pods after my first day. My AC died the last evening of my stay at 1AM, I did not see the point in bothering staff, I simply opened my windows. This hotel could be great, but needs to be updated. I would give the hotel an overall rating of 3.2.

I’d actually rate it 3.5 overall. It’s an older but updated hotel. The lobby area is quite small but has a bar and seating area; but it’s immediately in front of you as you walk in through the revolving door. The guest elevators are actually around the staircase, past their onsite restaurant, Toro, so a bit hidden away. The fitness center is well equipped with some free weights, kettle bells, treadmills, and some weight machines (but not a full assortment). Two Peloton bikes were available, but one of them didn’t have a working seat post, so it was all the way to the bottom which was useless to anyone. Towels were provided and there was a water fountain inside. Nothing to write home about, but if you’re looking for a basic workout it will do nicely. We got a room with double full sized beds. It was too small for both Amy and I to really stretch out / across, but our daughter Ashe was fine w the other full bed. This was a college trip for her, so we didn’t have the whole family w us. We did have a tub and separate shower, which is what we like, since both of us like to take hot soaks. We got some nice benefits having reserved via my Amex Plat card, including credits for breakfast for two each day, $15 per day at the lobby bar, $100 for food and beverages.

just came into town for a special formal event Found ALL the staff extremely helpful and friendly from the concierge, to door staff, to housekeeping, coffee bar, including the front desk. with everything from a special request for a brand new pristine iron (they readily accommodated), to solid interactions that made us feel welcome every time we came and went through the front door, to a last minute GCard pay method change as we were leaving today the front desk rushed to get done for us so we could get out asap to catch our flight on top of that all the property is ideally located (though ofc Fairmonts typically are), but we knew that part when we booked now pleased to find upon our stay the service was equally ideal
