About the Hotel

Great hotel with the best Concierge!
The Gwen is a wonderful hotel. Perfectly located, with generously sized air-conditioned rooms. We were on the 16th floor. All the staff we met were helpful and considerate, discreet and efficient. A special mention to Russell - the delightful concierge. Not only did he take the time to recommend both breakfast and dining venues, he was on hand to help with booking baseball tickets, advising on travelling, and being available at a moment's notice to help. Russell you are an absolute star!

Wonderful Time in Chicago
The service and the room were top notch. It was very expensive so that was on par. They had many groups enjoying themselves so the shared areas, lobby, bar could get quite noisy. The room was quiet. I suspect they placed us away from the groups which was nice. The location was spot on for us near the river cruises, excellent restaurants like NoMI and Michigan Avenue.

Great hotel in Chicago!
I stayed at the Gwen for business and had a great experience. The staff was very welcoming and went out of the way to make me feel special for my birthday away from home. Ariel G was the first to welcome me at the front desk and Boris greeted me at the lobby bar/restaurant. I received lovely birthday notes and treats from both of them, which made me feel a lot better about working on my birthday! I really enjoyed the bar/restaurant terrace, which had a nice view of the skyline and had heat lamps, which we luckily did not need. I had previously stayed at a different hotel in Chicago for another business trip, and the Gwen was much more modern and updated. I would be happy to stay at the Gwen again, which is not true for the other hotel I stayed at. Thanks again for a lovely stay!
