Perfect patio experience
Great dinner on the patio at Upstairs at the Gwen. Judie made sure we were comfortable on the patio offering a blanket to us. Kayla our server was attentive and helpful. Cocktails, food, atmosphere, and service all on point. Perfect night in Chicago.

great weekend bday girls trip stay!
Very nice hotel for a weekend birthday girls trip! Perfect location for walking, shopping and dining on Michigan Avenue. Check-in was easy and we enjoyed the cookies given to guests at check in. The room was nice and clean with a spacious bathroom. Surprised there were no USB ports for charging on the desk or on the night stands and only on the clock that my iphone charger did not fit. The rooftop bar was nice with the fire pits going on a chilly night. A little disappointing that we were given a room (914) that the huge bathroom sink had a crack that had clearly been there for some time. Don’t think the hotel was sold out so not sure why we were given this room when we arrived at about 7 pm. The sink did not drain properly and filled up about 1/4 of the sink and slowly drained when you turned the water off. Overall, The GWEN was a good choice for a weekend bday girls trip!

Sam and Hannah were incredibly helpful at check-in. I had a large group and they helped make the process smooth for myself and the other people in my traveling party.
