Hotel Lincoln

This hotel is very underrated. Our experience here was simply amazing! The staff, housekeeping, and the ambiance was very pleasant and welcoming. It is quiet and relaxing. The service was exceptional! Amenities are good, but it would be nice if they had water bottles available for their customers. The hotel is nice and clean, the bed is really comfortable, was definitely not expecting that. The location is perfect. You can walk daily at Lincoln Park, visit the zoo, or walk by the lake all within very short distance. There is a lot to do in this area, plenty of restaurants and easy transportation available. It is also nice to have a restaurant that serves very good food on the lower level. The rooftop also has good food and great service and omg the views are stunning! The coffee shop on the premises makes great and tasty beverages. We will definitely be back! Hotel Lincoln has become one of our favorite places to stay at. I was not expecting to love this place but I did!

The hotel is, for the most part, very dated and in disrepair. There were large laundry carts stationed outside our room (802) the entire time. Blinds didn't work, digital tv didn't work, sinks backed up, carpet worn and torn in our 1 bedroom, lake view suite, supposedly the best room in the hotel. Such a disappointment.

This hotel is in a beautiful location directly overlooking Lincoln Park. It's within walking distance of many great places to get drinks, coffee or food. We had a fabulous dinner at Gemini which was a 10 minute walk. It has a rooftop bar. The staff was cheerful and helpful. The hotel itself, however, needs to be completely renovated. Everything is worn out, torn, shoddily patched together and not in working condition. The water got warm, but not hot. The tub would not drain. The wall are paper thin. I could go on and on. Our room was worse than roadside motel rooms I've had to stay in while traveling and been caught in a snowstorm. If we weren't in a wedding block we would have found another hotel. Shame.. because it could be a real gem.

Found hair on my pillow immediately checking into the room. Pulled up my sheets and small stains all over. Walking out seeing random bins with towels just sitting out in the hallway. My room didn’t have a fridge either.

My wife and daughter stayed here 1 night in November 25. At the time they told me the location suited they're pupose however the hotel itself was poor. Dirty stained worn carpets and furniture well past sell by date. I did not write any review at the time because as it was one nights stay they said to forget about it. The story doesn't end there though. Checking our credit card statement in March of this year we realized that we had been charged for 2 nights stay as opposed to a single night. We contacted the hotel...several times by phone and email. We informed them of the issue and they did send a copy of the invoice. They state its not their issue and that this regularly occurs with international guests and that its not their fault !! Since then despite many one way phone calls and emails..from us to them.. the matter has not been rectified. The amount involved is 291 dollars and change. Should we not be refunded well it will be put down to a bad experience. My hope is that a future guest will read this and to make an informed decision as to whether to book this place or not. Obviously I don't recommend it!
