Kimpton Gray Hotel Chicago

I always stay at the Kimpton Gray. Please see Del at the front desk, he in informative, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to resolve any issues, immediately as they arise. He also had THE BEST LAUGH. You will not regret staying here. Sometimes, its worth the money...you actually get what you pay for here.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend during the Chicago Marathon and loved it! The inside is really pretty, the beds are comfortable, and the location is great! The staff were helpful but gave us the wrong keys a few times, making us go and up down from our room to get ones that worked. But other than that, the stay was great!

A fun couples trip planned that was ruined the second we got the front desk. The front desk was rude and charged us for the hotel room despite already paying the hotel fees with miles. Spent the next 2 days meeting with managers to resolve them double charging us, but not a single representative from the hotel offered anything complimentary until I had to ask them for a complimentary meal. The bathroom door in our room had large scratch marks on it, and the bed was smaller than what was pictured. While I understand this might have been a fluke, I would never recommend someone go to this hotel.

I did not stay at this hotel but my wife was staying here for a work trip and milestone presentation for her career. I wanted to make sure she knew her family was thinking about her and wishing her the best. I called the hotel and Shae answered. I could tell immediately I was going to be well-taken care of. Shae offered various options; flowers, gifts, treats that we could get for her in her room on arrival. Shae followed up, called back, and made sure the flowers we chose got to her room in time for her check-in. I can't write enough to say how much I appreciate the time and attention Shae gave me to make sure my wife's stay was comfortable. Shae will take care of you here, what a great experience!

My husband and I were traveling with our almost one year old baby and were exhausted by the time we checked in. There was wine in the lobby as with all Kimpton hotels in the evenings and the team was just starting to put everything away as we headed to the elevator with all our stuff. Alphonso welcomed us and offered us some wine, and when we told him our hands were full he offered to bring it up to our room for us! He refused a tip so I'm thanking him here! Because of Alphonso's hospitality, we were able to get settled and get our baby to sleep and then enjoy a glass of wine at the end of a long and stressful day. Our room was great, especially the huge bathtub, and housekeeping was fantastic. When we came back while they were finishing up cleaning our room one afternoon, the kind woman saw we had used all the coffee pods and after she left she put some more in a bag on the outside of our door. The location is excellent, the building is cool, but the hospitality here was absolutely the highlight!
