Park Hyatt Chicago

Great service. Great room. Nice restaurant and views. Exactly what you’d expect from Park Hyatt. From the bellmen to the front desk to housekeeping to the spa, staff was kind and excellent throughout our stay. Everyone went out of their way to make our out of place children particularly comfortable.

My husband and I booked a weekend in the city to celebrate his birthday and Father’s Day. We have stayed at other nice Chicago properties in the past - The Langham, Four Seasons, St. Regis, Ritz, Waldorf and Peninsula. We use hotel points when we can for these stays, and decided to use some Hyatt points and give the Park Hyatt a try. Glad we did. Maya at the front desk was outstanding and made us feel welcome. She was very professional and courteous. I should also mention, the very friendly and personable Doorman - Antonio. The lobby area is nice but has a different feel than the previously mentioned properties. However the common areas on the floors and the sleeping room were a pleasant surprise. Our room was updated nicely. We also ordered room service twice and no complaints on food or timing of delivery. The 7th floor where Nomi is located was fairly active at night. We didn’t dine at Nomi but took a look around the restaurant, bar, lounge and patio. Worth experiencing. Overall, if those other properties are 5 Star, the Park Hyatt is a higher tier 4 Star. I would recommend the Park Hyatt above the Fairmont and Intercontinental. More similar to the JW, but in a nicer location - for our taste anyway.

Had a very nice stay. Enjoyed the room where the jacuzzi wall pulled back and had a view of the Chicago skyline. Front desk, resturant, room service….it was all excellent service.

The park Hyatt Chicago is located along the magnificent mile in downtown Chicago. The lobby is well appointed. The staff was very friendly. The room was beautiful and well maintained. The room I stayed in was a river suite. It had a nice living area, nespresso coffee machine and plenty of bottled water. The shower pressure was great and I loved the lelabo toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and the window benches were a nice touch. The fitness center was well stocked and clean. The lap pool and hot tub was great. Well maintained. The men’s locker room had a steam room and was pretty good. Except that the access to the spa and fitness area was through the restaurant lobby it was great. Overall I would give it 5 stars and I will definitely return. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was truly a lovely experience. We were upgraded to a king deluxe with lake view room which had a lovely view overlooking the old city water tower and the lake. All of the staff were professional and kind and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful, the soaking tub was so nice, we loved the bench in the window and sat there in the evening looking down on the streets below. Breakfast at NoMi was superb, they did not miss a beat, we ate there four times and everything was delicious. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, just wish that area was a little larger or offered more wellness options as far as the pools. The changing rooms were well appointed with robes, slippers, shaving kits, and shower caps in the lockers. Truly just a lovely hotel in the heart of downtown.
