Not a 4 star.
If you are looking for a "4 star hotel" with high level accommodations and excellent guest service, just stay somewhere else. This hotel is not 4 star. It appears 4 star, as the lobby is gorgeous and the building is historic, but it does not operate as a high level hotel should. Wifi did not work in our room, our guest room phone did not work and was disconnected, food is overpriced, elevators are slow, check-in process was slow and they had so many people waiting in the lobby. If this is booked with fine hotels & resorts through American Express then DEFINITELY avoid - you do not get nearly any of the amenities they say they can/should provide.

Family Visit
The Hotel Pendy's prime location is conveniently close to Michigan Ave which is perfect for a lovely walk to shops and food. We were very pleased with the room which was well kept, clean and comfortable. The Verteux resturant on site was excellent, we loved the oysters! Bar Pendry was nice to stop for a drink and relax. I would definitely return for another stay at hotel Pendry.

Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated. A special thank you to Dolapo, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless and enjoyable. That kind of genuine care and attention makes all the difference and does not go unnoticed. The hotel itself is beautiful, perfectly located, and has such a great atmosphere. Everything, from the rooms to the overall experience, felt refined yet welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Chicago and I’m already looking forward to my next stay.
