I never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience after staying at the Radisson Blu Aqua in Chicago. The location and views are beautiful — and that's about where the positives end. This was a 3-day weekend getaway for my husband and me. If it hadn’t been such a busy weekend, we would have gone elsewhere. The hotel room was not clean — we found blonde and brown hairs on the floor (we both have black hair), crumbs scattered around, and overall, the room just felt dirty. I asked for towels two days in a row and only received them the day we were checking out. On top of that, the towels were old, rough, and felt like drying off with a rug. To make matters worse, when they checked me out, they didn’t even ask how my stay was — which says a lot about their customer service. This hotel feels more like a 2.5-star property, definitely not worth the price. I noticed many reviews complaining about the cleanliness before booking — I really wish I had listened and stayed elsewhere. Unfortunately, it’s not worth the money.

Here for a conference. Amenities were lovely and I enjoyed my room and view. It’s kinda far from the train comparatively. The walls are also kinda thin so you will hear anyone and everyone getting off the elevator. Staff were kind and ultimately not a bad stay.

The Raddison Blu Aqua was very clean, sleek, and modern. Some things I enjoyed were the Starbucks inside the hotel, the underground pedway connection, Hassam (who was so very genuine and kind) who stood at the door ready to help at all times, and the smell…the smell of the hallways and rooms was so fresh! Not a fake deodorizing smell, but a really nice clean smell. The things that I did not care for were no usable refrigerator in the room and the lighting…the lighting was to set the mood (very low lamp light), but I wish there was more optional overhead lighting. Overall, I would give it a 9 out of 10.

I really like this hotel. Great, friendly staff that's always helpful. I liked the food a lot at Fire Lake inside the hotel. I had breakfast sent to my room and it came promptly. There's a Starbucks in the lobby which can also be sent to your room which I appreciated and utilized. They have a free printer in their business center which was useful for me to print documents. My one gripe is that they put a $150 hold per night on your card which felt steep to me. But ultimately an amazing stay and I'd definitely come again.

I recently stayed at the Radisson Blue Aqua Hotel in Chicago. While I was there, the hotel gave a key to my room to another guest who was able to gain access to my room while I was sleeping. The hotel showed that my room was not checked out (even though it was my second night in the room). I was petrified as someone was in my room while I thought I was locked in my hotel room. I know I scared the woman who entered my room as I yelled and jumped at her. The front desk immediately called and apologized but didn't seem very concerned about the situation. I called the hotel and spoke to the front desk manager (Shelly) who apologized for the situation and said she would send a voucher that I could use for future travel or a gift card. I never received anything (except for a bill). I have tried to call the hotel several times and either get transferred and hung up on or leave a message with no call back. I am very disappointed as literally could not sleep this night and didn't feel safe.
