Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile

Apart from one staff member ( tall black man who works second shift reception who treated us poorly (we are black also)this hotel was hands down the best hotel we’ve been in!

I spent 15 wonderful days at Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile, and my stay was exceptional from start to finish. Kendric at valet, the bellman, and front office team—Maria, Jillian, Ghulam, and Chanielle—were all amazing. The concierge guided me to the best restaurants and activities, and housekeeping, especially Sandra, Myraida, and Scott, kept everything perfect. Every department went above and beyond, and I truly felt at home. Thank you to the whole team—you’ve gained a loyal guest, and I look forward to returning!

While the location of this hotel is fabulous, there is much to be desired in the rooms. We are a family of three and were provided exactly three towels for the bathroom. The shower itself is very small; when I rinsed my hair under the rain shower head, I literally knocked up against the faucet handle, turning off the water. As my pictures show, the room is no longer in great shape; many items need to be repaired or replaced. The Ritz and Four Seasons are close by; next year I will consider them instead.

A perfect location for our stay of 8 nights in Chicago. The hotel is in a pleasant neighbourhood, not too far from Michigan Avenue (Magnificent Mile area) and an easy walk to the beach. It was quite quiet and we could barely hear road noise - unlike friends who were in a hotel a little closer to the river. Our superior room (2109) was very clean and so comfortable! Water in the fridge every day was greatly appreciated. Our rate included breakfast and there was plenty of choice every day, so we were never bored. The breakfast (restaurant) staff were all very pleasant and a real credit to the hotel. We'd certainly choose Sofitel again if we were to return to Chicago for whatever reason.

Excellent stay Sofitel Chicago. Comfortable spacious room, double upgrade based on my status. Comfortable beds, very friendly staff. Just the breakfast was disappointing. The orange juice is on the menu as freshly squeezed, which it’s definitely not. It’s a mix of juice from a box, and juice pressed a couple of days ago. Avocado toast should come with soft boiled egg, but came with ice cold hard boiled egg.
