Reviews for Thompson Chicago
Nice hotel in theory, but you can stay at better places.
Good basic area location in Chicago, room design seems cheap, bathroom shower leaked all over floor and other poorly installed bathroom features. Security is not great, severly intoxicated person entered the hotel - even with a doorman there who didn't stop it, and police were called. Safety was a concern because we didn't feel comfortable that the hotel staff was on their game to protect the guests. There are many other better options in Chicago in this area.

Ahmad is awesome!
Was greeted by Ahmad with a smile, he got me a room right away and check in was flawless, last time I was here was not the case and I wasn’t pleased to say the least! Today is another day and thanks to Ahmad I am in my room having a cup of coffee and enjoying the lake view. Thank you Ahmad I really appreciate you!

A stunning location
This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. We were able to use the check in early option and drop our things and head out for a full day in the city. The metro and lake are less than three blocks away. Some of the city’s highest rated restaurants are within walking distance, and the Tavern had delicious desserts on menu. The rooms are spacious and have some nice amenities. The shower has excellent water pressure. If you are able to get a room on a higher floor, the view is amazing, you can see parts of the lake from 17.
